About the scheme:

Following our successful pilot HETV Job-share programme in Craft and Tech, ScreenSkills in partnership with SMTJ are extending the programme, offering placements for job-share pairs in ALL roles behind the camera in HETV. These include roles in the following departments: art department, hair and make up, costume, sound, camera, production, producers, directors, Post production and VFX and Animation. We will be pairing 40 job-share pairs and partnering them with upcoming HETV productions all over the UK. The programme will include training for both the job-sharers and the companies that employ them, as well as bespoke coaching and ongoing support. This programme is supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions.
Scheme dates

The programme will start in September where we will run department specific job-share 'speed dating' events to pair people up and then run training and coaching sessions.The dates and length of the placements themselves cannot be confirmed until they are secured, however they are likely to run between January and December 2023. Because the contract is dictated by the roles of the successful applicants, show scheduling will play a part in the start dates. Once the programme begins, our aim is that you will be employed for a continuous period of around four months.
