    Adding RUSH service adds a 100% up-charge to the invoiced amount before tax.  If your RUSH request is accepted, it would be prioritized ahead of standard production and completed as soon as possible.

    Note that selected dates are estimated for standard turnaround only. RUSH requests are dependent on availability and do not have a guaranteed completion date.

    If you are requesting a specific completion or installation date that is not currently available on our calendar, and we agree to accommodate that date, a 300% up-charge will apply instead of the standard RUSH fee.


    RUSH PRODUCTION: Begins after your order is approved and paid. It is then pushed to the front of our production queue.

    • Revisions are limited to basic content including Name, Phone Number, Email, Team Name, and Logo.  Adding, deleting, or editing content, including size, color, or positioning will delay your order and may incur additional fees.  For custom designed prints, you have two options:

       

      1. Send us an updated packaged InDesign file 
      2. Have us create a NEW PRINT READY DESIGN at our current rate (~$110 per hour). Fee for making the above changes will be billed to you. Marketing must be added to this email in case the requested changes are NOT ok.

       

      Sending InDesign or Illustrator files?  Send the packaged version including any linked fonts and files in addition to the following specifications:

       

      • All text updated with Compass issued fonts
      • Logos replaced with vector (not JPG or PNG)
      • Color black as CMYK 100,100,100,100
      • Color white as CMYK 0,0,0,0
      • File dimensions should reflect final print size
      • Bleed for all files set to 0.25 inches
      • For listing signage, ensure content stays within 1" margin (2" for top margin)


      Any requested or necessary adjustments to your file(s) to meet these specifications will be billed at our current rate.

    • All panels for installation by TracWel will have large grommets 16” apart at top.  If you hang sign panels yourself on TracWel posts and DO NOT want large grommets, let us know when requesting new signage.

    • L-Posts would be included in your order for $198 each, quantity matching number of signs to be made available for installation.

      • J-Hung requires two weeks notice for all new sign installations.

      • J-Hung will not be able to install the new signs in extreme cold or snow.

      Costs for Installs and Maintenance:

      • $125 Base Installation fee for the “Sign of the Future”
      • $55 Base Uninstallation fee for SOTF
      • $30 Base Installation fee for replacing batteries for SOTF
      • Normal rush and service area costs may apply.

      • J-Hung is not responsible for broken pieces or malfunctions; please contact sign@compass.com or your local Product Expert if you run into any issues with hardware or functions.

    • INSTALLATION ($54): You must already have signage produced to be available for installation.  If you do not have signage, request to have new signage produced. Installation does not include removal.  See below for additional fees for locations outside our service areas.

    • REMOVAL ($54): Sign must be in the same location for uninstall, or at least in a visible and accessible place. We will not search for a sign on a property if it has been relocated from its original location. You will still be charged if the sign is missing.  If the installer must return to a location a second time due to a missing sign, you will be charged an additional fee.  See below for additional fees for locations outside our service areas.

    • IMPORTANT! Additional charges outside our service area:

      We are proud to provide service to all neighborhoods in Boston as well as Arlington, Belmont, Braintree, Brookline, Cambridge, Everett, Hingham, Malden, Medford, Milton, Newton, Quincy, Somerville, and Watertown. For locations outside of our service area, our normal service fee applies plus $3 per mile beyond a 5 mile driving distance from our shop. For example, if service is requested for an address in Wayland (19 driving miles from our shop), our normal service fee would apply plus an additional $42.

    Notifications

    Currently we can't depend our installers to send confirmations when deliveries/installs/uninstalls get done (as safety would be a concern) but please let us know if there are any issues and we will dispatch as soon as we can.

    Other than the automated receipt of message e-mail that you should receive after you submit your request from the form, we currently do not send confirmations for deliveries/installations.

     

    Timing

    Production on your order only begins after we receive an e-mail confirming your order and proof.


    Requests received after 3 PM will not be reviewed until the next business day. For most orders requesting standard signage before the weekend, we must receive an e-mail confirming your order and approving your proof(s) by Tuesday at 3PM.

     

    Communication

    Relay all questions about signage over e-mail.  In order to avoid misinterpretation and to have a paper trail for requests, we do not take phone calls. 

     


    IMPORTANT! If you have requested INSTALLATION or REMOVAL/UNINSTALL:

    • If we have availability we may install/uninstall your sign earlier than your requested date without notice. Let us know if this CAN NOT be the case.
    • Request your signage for installation ahead of the date when it is needed. If you need signage installed or uninstalled by a specific date, please be sure to request a date that is at least 1 day prior.
    • Mark the specific locations of where you would like to place the sign with marker flags. We have provided your office with marker flags. If flags are not possible, e-mail us a marked up photo. This lets us know where you would like the sign installed and avoids any misinterpretation of written instructions.
    • If you do not specify a location with a flag or photo, the installer will place the sign using their own judgement. This may include attaching the signage to a fence, railing, or siding with zip ties or screws. You will be responsible for any disagreement on placement and method of installation. Additional fees will apply if a re-install is requested.
    • Installers will not jump, climb, or crawl around fences, hedges, any obstacles or otherwise make any extraordinary efforts to reach an area. Installers reserve the right to refuse an installation if their safety is at risk.
    • You are solely responsible for verifying permission from all concerned parties involved with the property, including any associations, co-ops, trustees, owners, neighbors, and any laws and ordinances, to have a sign of this size installed at the marked location. We want to save everyone time and money if there are any issues restricting the sign from this location.
    • You must inform us of any issues that may limit installation including: irrigation lines, sprinklers, service pipes, electrical lines, virtual pet fencing, lawn ornaments, flowers, plants and vegetation.
    • If a seller, owner, or tenant refuses installation of your sign, you will still be charged up to the full cost of installation plus any additional fees that may apply.
    • Lawn signage is intended to be temporary and is typically installed on non-compacted, unfrozen soil or gravel. This soil or gravel is not static and may shift, expand or contract, and become unlevel over time due to wind, rain, temperature changes, and traffic.
    • We do not provide storage as a separate service. Storage is not provided for free. Storage is provided only as a benefit for signage that is produced and installed/uninstalled by us. 
    • If signage is removed and brought to us for storage for any reason, you will still be charged for the cost of uninstall. We determine what is stored and can refuse storage for any reason.
    • We only install posts that we sell - we do not install posts that are not purchased from us.
    • Uniformity across orders not guaranteed. At our discretion items noted as NEW may vary in design, dimensions, hardware or condition. Variations should not affect functionality.
    • We cannot ensure the condition of your signage once it has been installed. Requests for re-installation will be scheduled for evaluation and invoiced at current rates.
    • If we did not install it, we will not remove it. Unless agreed upon beforehand, any signage/items found at a property and not installed by us will be left at the property. This includes riders, banners, lights, balloons, flags, etc.
    • We cannot remove any existing signage at a property for another broker/agent even if the signage has your name on it.
    • Sign must be in the same location for uninstall, or at least in a visible and accessible place. We will not search for a sign on a property if it has been relocated from its original location. You will still be charged if the sign is missing. If the installer must return to a location a second time due to a missing sign, you will be charged an additional fee.
    • Retention and Recycling
      • URL riders: Recycled when your sign is uninstalled.  If you would like to retain your URL riders, remove them prior to submitting a signage request for removal.
      • Inactivity: At least one signage installation must be formally requested within a period of 24 months.  Not requesting an installation within this timeframe will result in the signage being considered abandoned and subject to recycling.
      • Updates: Any signage replaced due to changes in information (e.g., name, contact details, design elements) will be retired and recycled unless otherwise requested.
      • Retention: Agents who wish to retain previous signage must notify us within two weeks of the 36-month period of non-usage OR when signage is updated. Failure to notify us within this timeframe may result in the signage being recycled.
      • Notification: To request new signs or request an installation, submit your request at http://compass.j-hung.com
      • Disposal and Recycling: Signage deemed abandoned, outdated, or retired will be disposed of or recycled at our discretion without notification.
      • Grace Period: A grace period of 2 weeks will be granted beyond the 24-month threshold before signage is considered abandoned. This allows for flexibility in exceptional circumstances.
