CASSIDY THEATRE REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE PROTOCOLS
COVID CODE OF CONDUCT
The following protocols are not intended to create erroneous “extra work” for a cast or production team, but are intended to keep casts, production teams and our staff SAFE while operating within the Cassidy Theatre. These protocols are not “suggestions”. They are aligned to our Responsible Restart Plan which has been crafted based on the State of Ohio reopening guidelines for entertainment venues and approved by both the City of Parma Heights and the Cuyahoga County Department of Health. It is EVERYONE’S responsibility to ensure we have a safe place to create art and share it with the community.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals are an integral part of the performance process. In some cases, it is imperative that rehearsals occur in the performance space. Several procedures are being put in place to ensure that actors and production teams have a safe experience while in the building.
REHEARSAL/PERFORMANCE
1. During rehearsal, if an actor is not actively participating in the scene, song or dance, they MUST wear a face covering unless there is an approved medical reason as to why the individual should not be.
2. If an actor or production team member is sitting in the house, they MUST be greater than 6ft from one another whenever possible.
3. During performances, ALL Cassidy Theatre representatives (Production Staff, Board Members, Volunteers, Box Office Staff) will wear face masks.
4. For performances, Rows A and B are BLOCKED from being sold in order to create distance between the actors and the audience.
5. For performances, all patrons will be required to wear a face covering for the duration of the performance. (Subject to Board approval 9/19/21).
GENERAL PROTOCOLS
1. BE RESPECTFUL OF EACHOTHER. We are in this TOGETHER
2. Food should NOT be consumed during rehearsal. Water or other beverages are OK as long as they are in a sealed bottle. NO SHARING!
3. Please limit congregating in shared spaces to the fullest extent possible.
4. If for whatever reason you begin to feel unwell during a rehearsal, notify your Stage Manager IMMEDIATELY. The individual will be taken to the lobby and isolated until arrangements can be made for their safe exit from the building.
