• '22-'23 Afterschool Registration

  • Applying for the Boys & Girls Club Afterschool program does not automatically admit your child(ren) into any other program, including future Afterschool Programs and Summer Club.

    Dues for Afterschool are $40/month per child ($20 for Aug). Membership is on a first come/first served bases and is limited by transportation capacity. Once you have received notice your child(ren) have a spot in our program you will receive a payment link. You will be asked to pay for Aug and Sept ($60/child) to save your spot(s). Registration is not complete until payment is received. All dues will have to be paid in advance. We will not accept checks or payments at the club sites for registration.

    The Club you are applying for is based on the school your child will attend. Kindergarteners are accepted on a trial basIs and the Director will assess if the Club is a good fit for him/her. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN KINDERGARTEN.

    Due to differing School District schedules the Clubs will be opened as follows:

    Abilene ISD - Wednesday 8/17

    TLCA - We will start picking up on Wednesday 8/17 (They start on 8/11 but we will not open for Afterschool care until AISD opens on 8/17).

    Wylie ISD - Wednesday 8/17

    Clyde ISD - Wednesday 8/17

    All information will come to you via the email you put on this application. It is your responsiblity to check your email regularly. We are not responsible for you missing information or deadlines due to failing to check your email. Please check your spam folder if you do not hear back by Monday 7/25.

  • Household Information

    Because we are dependent on grants to keep membership dues low, this section must be completed fully in order to be enrolled. All information is kept strictly confidential and used for statistical purposes only.
  • Medical Information and Release

    If admitted into the B&GC Afterschool Program, the information below is necessary for us to provide the best and safest care for each child. Please note: We will NOT have a certified medical professional (nurse) on premise.

    Please include yourself and any other Parent/Guardian/Household Occupant you want on the pick-up list. At least TWO contacts are required.

    Club Rules
  • 1. Children are responsible to be in the pick-up area at their school or on their assigned bus on time. Our drivers are not allowed to go into the school to look for children. We are not responsible for your child until they have been released to our driver (if riding a BGC van); or enter the Club either directly from the school (onsite clubs - Martinez and TJ Jones) or off the school bus. If your child misses the van or the bus because they were not where they were supposed to be it is the parents' responsibility to pick-up their child from the school.

    2. Cell phones are not allowed to be used at the Club. If a cell phone is seen, the member will be asked to put it away. If he/she refuses or has it out again, it will be taken up and stored in the office until pick up time. It is the member's responsibility to ask for the phone back at the end of the day.

    3. Participation in the Afterschool program does not guarantee a spot in our Summer program. Nor does attending our Summer program guarantee a spot in our Afterschool program. A new application will have to be completed for each program each year.

    4. Member and contact addresses and phone numbers must be updated when they change for the safety of your child(ren).

    5. Only members are allowed in the Club. Doors will remain locked during Afterschool hours.

    6. All members must sign in with the greeter as they enter each day.

    7. Appropriate clothing will be worn: Closed toe shoes only (No flip flops or sandals - we will be very active inside and outside and proper footwear is required for your child's safety). No halter tops, spaghetti straps, strapless tops, or shirts with inappropriate messages or logos; No bare midriffs; shorts must be of modest length, and no undergarments should be seen.

    8. Members may not enter staff’s offices without first knocking and waiting until asked to come in. A member may never go into an office without a staff person.

    9. Members should show pride in the Club by keeping it clean. Food will be eaten only in designated areas. When finished eating he/she needs to clean up his/her area.

    10. Gang colors and weapons are not allowed in or near our Club.

    11. Profanity in the Club is not allowed.

    12. All injuries or accidents must be reported immediately to staff.

    13. Any issues with other Club members must be brought to the attention of a staff member. Members should not retaliate or take matters into their own hands. Staff are there to help guide the resolution of an issue in positive ways. Retaliation of any kind could result in suspension. 

    14. The Club telephone is to be used ONLY for business calls and emergencies (i.e. injuries, illness). Calls for Club members are discouraged, but messages will be taken. Members must ask to use the telephone.

    15. Members who require constant attention or discipline will be asked to leave the Club.

    16. Any member who engages in violent or delinquent behavior (including “play” fighting) will be subject to disciplinary action including suspension. This includes fighting, stealing, using abusive language, etc. 

    17. Members must treat the staff and other Club members with respect.

    18. B&GC discourages bringing personal items to the Club. If a member chooses to bring personal items they must be placed in the designated area. Members must never take or go through another member’s belongings. Stealing will not be tolerated!

    THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF ABILENE, INC. AND ITS STAFF ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PERSONAL ITEMS BROUGHT TO THE CLUB. The member assumes the risk of loss or breakage of any personal item brought into the Club.

  • Disclaimer and Permission Statement

  • 1. It is agreed that the Boys & Girls Club, Inc.(B&GC) assumes no liablity for injury or other losses as a result of being a member of the B&GC, and I agree to hold harmless the B&GC and its Agents.

    2. It is further agreed that any photographs, videos and/or voice recordings taken of my child(ren) while they are members of the B&GC may be used for public relations purposes without further notice or permission from me.

    3. I agree to keep all Emergency Contact Information up to date.

    4. I understand the B&GC Staff is NOT responsible for any personal property brought to the Club by any members.

    5. I understand that all membership dues paid to the B&GC are NONREFUNDABLE.

    6. I understand that my child must be picked up from the Club by the closing time for their club (Clyde, TJ Jones, and Martinez close at 7:00pm; Highland and Wylie close at 6:00pm) and that late pickup will result in late fees and/or suspension of membership.

    7. I understand this application is only valid for the '22-'23 Afterschool Program. Participation in the Afterschool Program does not guarantee a spot in our Summer Program.

    8. I understand admittance in the Afterschool Program is based on avaliblity of space. There is a limited number of spots from each school and at each Club, and these spots are offered on a first come first served basis.  

    I UNDERSTAND THAT THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF ABILENE, INC. IS NOT A LICENSED DAYCARE FACILITY AND IS NOT REGULATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PROTECTIVE AND REGULATORY SERVICE.

    In addition, my electronic signature states that I understand that continued admission and participaion in B&GC Programs is contingent upon the B&GC approval of my child(ren)'s behavior and the staff's ability to administer quality care for all children on site.
