• Virtual Village California Dreamin' College & Historical Tour 2022

    A successful trip is directly related to the behavior of its participants. Safety is threatened if established rules are not followed. Please read and follow the rules and consequences with your child.

    Participant/Youth Expectations BEFORE the trip:

    1.All youth trip participants are expected to submit signed permission form. medical form. emergency contact. and travel behavior contract at least (1) week before trip departure. 2.All youth travel bags should be searched and verified CLEAN by their parent and/or guardian before leaving home the day of the trip.

    3.All youth are expected to be tested for COVID-19 at least 5 days before the trip. Home tests results are accepted Parents will be expected to confirm in writing (email or text message) their child's negative COVID status prior to the trip,

    4. Any "system involved" youth MUST have proper written approval (consult with your child's mentor) in order to participate and travel out of state for this trip.

  • Behavior/ Discipline expectations DURING the trip:

    1.All IMN/PMN and affiliate behavior rules must be followed while on the trip. Rules are put in place to ensure youth and

    adult safety while on the Virtual Village College Tour 2022.

    2. All youth must comply with airline rules regarding seat assignments, noise level. bathroom usage, cell phone use (cell phones MUST be in airplane mode when on the plane

    3. Modified Dress Code: Shorts, pants, and skirts must follow IMN/PMN and affiliate dress code. Denim shorts and pants are permissible. and must be size appropriate, fitting at the waist, no daisy duke or short shorts or skirts, no revealing shirts or tanks. Attire is to be tasteful and appropriate to venue. If chaperone or mentor request that you alter your attire. please do so. Failure to comply could result in loss of participation on trip activities.

    4.Students will not EVER enter a mentor. adult chaperone. or the room of any adult while on the VV California College Tour

    5. Students will not leave the hotel. tour sites, or trip activity sites at ANY time without being accompanied by an assigned mentor and/ or chaperone.

    6. Youth are NOT allowed to enter the hotel rooms of ANY other youth unless accompanied by a mentor.

  • 7. Students are expected to obey all on-site hotel and tour site rules: including curfew and noise level rules.

    8. Youth AND Parents will be responsible for any incidental hotel charges during this trip.

    9. Students will use the buddy system at all times and remain with an assigned peer when appropriate.

    10. Youth will show respect for peers and adults on the trip. Cussing. disrespectful language. aggressive posturing. and hand gestures are not allowed and will be subject to youth exclusion from planned trip activities.

    11. Youth will not use abusive. or disrespectful language towards peers and/ or adults.

    12. No vape pens. paraphernalia, illegal substances, drugs. alcohol. laser pointers are allowed on this trip.

    13. Students are responsible for their personal items and valuables at all times. IMN/PMN chaperones or affiliates are not responsible for any items lost or stolen as there is no time to investigate theft on the trip.

    14. Students will adhere to all IMN/PMN and affiliate policies not listed above but are relevant and applicable to ensuring the safety of ALL parties on this trip.

  • Consequences for Breaking Trip Rules

    1. Youth can be assigned to remain with a mentor/ chaperone for 1:1 supervision at all times.

    2. Student can be restricted from trip activities and will be isolated at the hotel with an assigned mentor.

    3. Youth's hotel room can be reassigned without advance notice or parent notification.

    4. Youth can be given an earlier curfew than peers.

    5. Youth can be restricted from attending any future VV. IMN. PMN, or affiliated organization field trips (local and national

    6. Youth can be sent home at parents expense. Parents agree to pay for youth travel and any additional supervision requirements that must be put in place to comply with airline rules regarding youth/ minor travel.
