    • Inclusion in a weekly (Monday) social media post of all upcoming concerts that week
    • Inclusion in the Upcoming Events section of concert program booklets
    • Inclusion in Tempo Monthly (sent on the third Wednesday of each month)
      • Upcoming events for the remainder of that month, as well as the entirety of the next month
    • All events are submitted monthly to be distributed in:

  • Marketing Tier Requested*
  • The “Standard” tier includes everything in the “Basic” tier but allows for a broader marketing package and more detailed information to be included in listings. Unless graphics are being developed by the Division of Marketing and Communications, all design work in this tier is free. Only print materials will incur costs.

The “Standard” tier also allows for graphic/imagery development (potential budgetary implications). If a graphic concept is desired, a description of the concept must be submitted by the deadline as well.

With the above information, the following additional marketing outlets can be utilized:

    • Enhanced Website and Social Media
    • Online Community Event Calendars
    • MPSOM Concert Program Ads (where necessary and available)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any marketing request in the Standard tier that requires funding will go through a review process. Please keep in mind that there may or may not be any budget available for your request. After you've submitted this form, the request will be reviewed, and you will be notified of its approval or denial.

  • The “Enhanced” option includes all marketing efforts listed in the “Basic” and “Standard” tiers and is appropriate for larger-scale events or concert series (ex. Bluff Series, Uptown Jazz Series, Christmas at Duquesne, etc.). This tier requires, at a minimum, the same information as the “Standard” tier but is more customizable depending on specific needs. In addition, these types of requests can take longer to develop, so requests may need to be submitted a minimum of eight (8) weeks (or more) in advance. Marketing services in this tier can include:

    • Series Brochures
    • Alumni/Advancement Standalone Email
    • DU Times
    • Individual Press Releases (by DMC)
    • Ad Swaps with Local Arts Organizations (where available)
    • Paid Email, Print, or Online Ads & Sponsorships
    • Paid Social Media Campaigns

IMPORTANT NOTE: Any marketing request in the Enhanced tier that requires funding will go through a review process. Please keep in mind that there may or may not be any budget available for your request. After you've submitted this form, the request will be reviewed, and you will be notified of its approval or denial.

  • Requested Marketing Collateral

  • Digital Graphics/Print Collateral Development

Graphics/print materials for events can be developed in two ways:

    • By the Director of Music Engagement, Events, and Marketing (print costs only)
    • By the Division of Marketing and Communications ($70/hr design time + print costs)

The decision of who will do the work depends on various factors including (but not limited to) type of event, scope of project, workload at the time of request, etc. Every attempt will be made to keep costs down by having the Director of Music Engagement, Events, and Marketing do the work, but no guarantee can be made. Please keep in mind - the more assets requested, the more expensive and longer the turnaround will be, so be sure to request/budget accordingly.

There is no dedicated budget for graphic development and printing. These costs are typically charged to your department/area/ensemble budget.
