Interested in becoming a TFF Garden-Farm Intern? We are preparing for our season! Our adult garden market interns are crucial to the growth, care, and harvesting of our produce at our sites. We are looking for several new interns for our 2025-2026 season (September through April). Help put organically grown vegetables in the hands of those who need them most through our unique MarketShares program, Field Sponsor program, and Fresh Food Box programs. The Fruitful Field is proud to say that we provide fresh produce to food pantries and soup kitchens across Broward County. Some interns might prefer to help with administration, data management, and social media. Please mention in your application if you are interested in helping with any of these tasks.

Benefits: Hands-on learning on organically growing and harvesting vegetables in South Florida! We use regenerative practices, and our produce is nutrient-dense and locally distributed. Also, interns receive organic produce weekly during harvest season (as available).

Expectations: Interns will help in all facets of our garden market operation. Tasks include preparing seed trays, seeding, planting, and caring for garden produce. Interns will also become integral parts of food pantry/soup kitchen/non-profit Partner distributions by harvesting, weighing, and preparing produce for distribution. You will sometimes help with Market harvests.

Required: A schedule of at least 6 hours/week (Monday through Saturday), including at least one (1) harvest morning (varies by location) during the week.

Working outside in various weather conditions, especially in hot and humid environments, and possessing a solid work ethic, as well as strong problem-solving and communication skills, are a plus.

The Fruitful Field has grown during the last year. We are now fortunate to manage sites in Pompano Beach and Dania Beach.

Here is an overview of site locations:

The Fruitful Field is located on Parkway United Methodist's church property in Deerfield Beach. Interns are needed on Wednesday, Friday, and one Saturday per month. ADDRESS: 100 NE 44th Street, Deerfield Beach, FL 33064

The Patricia Davis Community Garden is near Blanche Ely High School in Pompano Beach. Interns are needed on Wednesdays, Fridays, and one Saturday per month. ADDRESS: 1089 NW 6th Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL 33060

The Dania Beach PATCH is a .75 acre raised bed Garden Market in Dania Beach. Interns are requested on Tuesdays, Fridays, and one Saturday per month. ADDRESS: 1201 W. Dania Beach Blvd, Dania Beach, FL 33004

All sites are conveniently located just east of I-95.
