You have decided to apply for the SBS, granting you the much sought after 1% tax rate. Please note that the annual turnover limit for SBS is 500,000 GEL.
IMPORTANT

As of April 15th, 2022, the list of prohibited activities, in case of which the SBS cannot be granted are: most activities subject to permits and licenses; activities that require significant investment; currency-related operations; medical, architectural, legal, notary, audit, consulting activities; gambling business; staffing; manufacturing excisable goods.

Please note that failure to obtain Small Business Status will prevent you from being taxed under the 1% tax regime. Instead, the income you receive before your SBS becomes active is most likely going to be taxed at a 20%.

Power of Attorney (PoA)

Registration can be requested either in person or remotely. For ExpatHub to do your business registration remotely, you need to grant us the relevant powers under a notarized Power of Attorney and provide us with a notarized copy of your passport. Our team will prepare the text of the PoA. IMPORTANT: When the PoA and the copy of your passport is notarized outside of Georgia, it needs to be apostilled/legalized, sent to Georgia via courier services, and translated and notarized in Georgia.
