Certification of "High School Equivalency" Program within a LEA.

2023-2024

LCTCS, WorkReady U (WRU) is the governing agency for the Louisiana High School Equivalency Test (HiSET) administration in the state. Students enrolled in K-12 may be eligible to take the high school equivalency test, if they are enrolled in a high school equivalency pathway program, within the local school distric.

This certification form assist LCTCS to verify which local school districts provide/do not provide such a program within their school district.

I hereby certify that the designated person listed above, will serve as the point of contact for the school district and provide the following services for the high school equivalency testing program:

• serve as liaison between the school district and LCTCS/WRU;
• administer and validate scores for the HISET Official Practice Test (OPT) to eligible test candidates. For 2023-2024, OPT #9, 10,11, must be administered with minimum of Prepared/Well Prepared earned in each content area before being recommended to test. 
• complete and sign the LA Authorization form and submit to the test center before scheduling eligible test candidates; and
• manage student accounts in the HiSET online system, including establishing student accounts, scheduling tests and processing payments.
