Pennsylvania Farm Bureau encourages county Farm Bureaus to sponsor the attendance of at least one member at the State Annual Meeting. Introducing them to the work and spirit of our organization by witnessing this event can be an effective way of building the ranks of your leadership and other volunteers.
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau will contribute $100 (one per county) towards a county Farm Bureau's sponsorship of a member if the following criteria are met:
- He/she is a PFB member.
- The member has never attended a State Annual Meeting.
- He/she has shown interest in working to advance Farm Bureau's work and mission.
- He/she is not participating in a capacity where costs are already covered by PFB. For example, a member serving as a voting delegate would not qualify for the contribution from PFB.
It is up to the County Board to decide whether it wishes to cover the State Annual Meeting expenses of a spouse.
County Farm Bureaus will receive the $100.00 credit after the State Annual Meeting. If the member commutes to the annual meeting, and incurs expenses less than $100 (such as one or two meals), PFB's credit will be limited to the actual expense.
To qualify for the PFB contribution, the County Farm Bureau must note below the name and address of the member being sponsored. The form should be received by Pennsylvania Farm Bureau on or before October 27, 2023 (when meal reservations are due).
Please note that the county should make meal and hotel reservations for their sponsored member (and spouse, if applicable).
