    Greensboro Fire Citizens’ Academy is designed to give you greater insight into your fire department. Each session will be informative and interactive. Each session will be informative and hands on. The program is set to begin on July 23, 2026 with sessions every Thursday evening 6-8:30 pm.

    The 2026 program participants will have mask optional, socially distanced students attending in-person. Your safety and the safety of our firefighters is our first priority.

    Applications must be completed by close of business (5pm) on Sunday, May 31, 2026. No applications will be accepted after this deadline. All participants must be over the age of 18 to participate in the program. As a condition of applying to the GFCA, you consent to a criminal background check. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • You must live or work in Guilford County to participate in GFCA.

    I hereby certify there are no willful falsifications, omissions, or misrepresentations in the foregoing statements and answers to questions. I understand that any omission or false statement on this application shall be sufficient cause for rejection for enrollment or dismissal from the Greensboro Fire Department, Citizen’s Fire Academy. I also grant permission for the Greensboro Fire Department to verify the above information and to conduct a background check for prior criminal history.
