  • Application for Contractor Registration

  • STEP ONE - Read BEFORE completing

    Review your respective discipline requirements below:

    1)    General Contractors/All Other Contractors:

     You must complete all requirements listed below.

    2)   State-Licensed Contractors—Plumbers and/or Fire Alarm

          Contractors:

    You must complete this Contractor Registration Application and UPLOAD a copy of your State License (Plumbers: you must provide your Plumbing Contractor Registration Certificate 055 & Plumber’s License 058). You are not required to submit a bond, insurance nor pay the registration fee.

    3)   Roofers and Electricians:

    You must complete all requirements listed below and UPLOAD a copy of your State Roofing License or Electrical Contractor License.

  • STEP TWO - Upload Required Documents:

    Before clicking Submit below, you must upload the following documents:

     1) Surety Bond: In the sum of $10,000.00 naming the City of West Chicago as certificate holder.

  • 2) Certificate of Insurance:  Showing the City of West Chicago as certificate holder and in the amounts shown below.

    •  Worker's compensation and employee's liability: Not less than $100,000.00 per person; 
    • Comprehensive public liability: Not less than $250,000.00 for injuries, including accidental death to any person, and subject to the same limits for each person, in an amount of any one (1) accident;
    • Property damage: Not less than $100,000.00 for any one accident with an aggregate limit of not less than $300,000.00.

  • FINAL STEP - Await Payment Instructions:

    You will be sent an email outlining the fee payment options once your application has been processed. Please allow at least 5 business days for your Contractor Registration to be processed.

    NOTES: Incomplete applications will be rejected, e.g., missing required surety bond or Certificate of Insurance, or failing to upload your required license.

    Applications submitted with expired surety bond and/or Certificate of Insurance will also be rejected.

  • Contractor Registration Fees:

    Initial Fee (First-time registrations) -  $235.00
    Renewal Fee -  $175.00

    NOTE: Registrations expire annually on December 31st
