    ELIGIBILITY and HOW TO ENTER

    1. Youth categories are open to year 12 secondary students and younger at the closing date of registration. You are currently completing the YOUTH entry form.

    2. Entries for under 18 year olds need to be made by a guardian or by their school. The representative must be over 18 and provide their contact details.

    3. Group/art collective entries and collaborations are eligible if all artists involved are listed.

    4. If you are submitting artwork as an adult, you need to CLICK HERE to complete the adult form. 

    5. Each artist may submit a maximum of (3) artworks only. This includes artworks where artists have collaborated with others. 

    6. Artworks entered must meet maximum size & other requirements. Please refer to Clause 3 in TERMS & CONDITIONS below, and Clause 13 for Insurance responsibilities

    7. Teachers may enter multiple students. You can do this by either downloading a spreadsheet from this form and filling in all details at once OR by using the online format to submit your multiple works one at a time. Please continue moving through this form for further instructions.

    8. A confirmation email will be sent when your entry form has been successfully submitted.

    9. The following persons, and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter the PRIZES, but may choose to exhibit/display their work only:

    a. 2022 Mil-Pra Annual exhibition competition judges;

    b. current Liverpool City Councillors and current Council employees.

    10. Judges and sponsor organisation representatives are not eligible to judge prizes that their immediate family members have entered. Judges have no part in the administration of the Mil-Pra annual exhibition and judging is blind (that is with no names identifying artwork they are judging). 

    11. Deliver your artwork/s to Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre on Saturday, Saturday 1st October 2022, from 9am - 3pm.

    NOTE: These dates may be changed as a response to unforeseen circumstances and health restrictions. In the event that NSW Health restrictions prevent CPAC from presenting a physical exhibition all together, CPAC reserves the right to document and publish submitted artworks in an online presentation in consultation with Mil-Pra. You may be contacted to advise of any safety procedures that have been put in place.

    This award is open to families with young children under school age, children attending open play, playgroups and/ or Early Childhood settings.

  • TERMS & CONDITIONS

    1. All participating youth artists must be a year 12 secondary student or younger at the closing date of registration. 

    2. Artists may submit a maximum of (3) artworks only. Each of these must be submitted on separate entry forms.

    3. The following are conditions in relation to the artwork

    a. The maximum size for 2D artworks must not exceed 150cm by 150cm. 3D artworks must not exceed 100cm x 100 cm.

    b. Any medium accepted.

    c. Digital works must be submitted in MP4/H264 format provided on a USB.

    d. All artworks must be ready for display with D-rings or alternate display hardware attached at time of delivery. If D-rings are not suitable for display the work must come with an alternate hanging system (i.e. pins should be supplied for unframed paper works).

    e. CPAC will not accept any artworks that are not ready for display or are wet, incomplete, structurally unstable, or damaged in any way. CPAC will not repair any artworks on the artist’s behalf.

    f. Artworks must have been produced in the last 48 months

    g. The artwork must be the original unaided work of the artist or their agent. Entry warrants that the artwork does not infringe copyright, moral rights or other rights of any third party. Artworks must be the property of the artist. No previous entries will be accepted.

    h. CPAC is not responsible for any packaging of artworks. No Artworks will be wrapped prior to collection. Any artists wanting to wrap their works will need to bring all wrapping and wrap the artworks themselves on collection day only.

    4. Artworks by groups of eligible artists may be entered.

    5. All judges will be appointed by the Mil-Pra AECG with the exception of the Mayor’s Choice Acquisitive Award, the Maria Lock Acquisitive Award and the Casula Powerhouse Aboriginal Scholarship Award. Artists who have entered artworks or whose children have entered artworks are ineligible to judge any of the awards. The decision of the judge/s will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered.

    PLEASE NOTE: 'Immediate Family Members' means a spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, parent grandparent, grandchild or sibling of an artist, or a child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of an artist’s spouse or de facto partner. It includes step-relations (e.g. step-parents and step-children) as well as adoptive relations.

    8. All exhibiting artists will permit their artworks to be reproduced in print and electronic media for the purpose of advertising and promoting the Annual Mil-Pra AECG Aboriginal Exhibition. CPAC reserves the right to reproduce artworks in subsequent promotional material with appropriate artist credit.

    9. Artists are responsible for organizing all transport matters. Artists are responsible for all costs and insurances involved in the transport of their artwork.

    10. Artworks may be photographed for educational/ promotional purposes while on display in the exhibition.

    11. CPAC reserves the right to refuse and/or withhold any artwork from display at its own discretion.

    12. All adult artworks available for sale for $100 or more will be subject to a total 20% commission payable to CPAC (10%) and Mil-Pra AECG (10%). All artworks available for sale for $99 or less will not be subject to any commission.

    13. Student artworks are not for sale.

    14. It is the responsibility of all entrants to obtain their own insurance cover against loss, destruction, damage and/or consequential loss (including but not limited to natural disasters, catastrophes, and the like) in relation to their entry/artwork. Unless otherwise advised, Council does not insure entries/artworks in transit, storage or on exhibition. It is expected that each entrant effects any additional insurance it considers reasonably necessary (or which a prudent artist would take out having regards to the nature and value of the entry/artwork and the type of exhibition). Council, while taking all due and reasonable care of entries/artworks, to the extent permitted by law, is not responsible or liable for any incidental loss or damage to the entry/artwork and the entrant otherwise releases and indemnifies Council against any and all claims, liabilities, loss and costs incurred or in connection with the entry/artwork, except to the extent that such loss or damage is caused or contributed to by the negligent or wrongful act or omission of Council or that of its employees and agents.

    15. You must nominate if you want to enter the Mayor’s Choice Acquisitive Award. If entered, the maximum amount paid to the winner is $3,000. Liverpool City Council will not pay more than this nominated amount even if the artwork is valued above $3,000. By entering this award, you acknowledge that if won, the work will be acquired into the Liverpool City Council Collection.

    16. You must nominate if you want to enter the Maria Lock Acquisitive Award. If entered, the maximum amount paid to the winner is $2,000. Liverpool City Council will not pay more than this nominated amount even if the artwork is valued above $2,000. By entering this award, you acknowledge that if won, the work will be acquired into the Liverpool City Council Collection.

    17. You must nominate if you want to enter the Casula Powerhouse Aboriginal Scholarship Award. The Casula Powerhouse Aboriginal Scholarship Prize winner must be 18 years of age or older at the close of registration. Proof of age may be required. The 2023 Casula Powerhouse Aboriginal Scholarship Prize winner will receive funds to develop and present an exhibition at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre in 2023. This opportunity will include mentorship by a first nations artist and/or curator. Mentorship and consultation with a Casula Powerhouse Curator is available, which will include, but is not limited to technical, curatorial and marketing support. The Prize is sponsored by individual/s and/or group/s and the exhibition support is provided by Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre. Previous winners of The Casula Powerhouse Aboriginal Scholarship Prize will not be eligible for the scholarship prize for the next five (5) annual exhibitions from the date of winning the prize.

    18. All submitted details on the registration form are final. Changes can NOT be made at delivery.

    19. Artworks to be collected on the date specified in KEY DATES. If you require a later pick up date, this must be arranged with CPAC Registration staff prior to the collection date. Artwork not collected on the collection date may be disposed of at the discretion of CPAC staff. Early pick up is not available.
