Do your students know how to find the credible information they need in order to develop a high quality research project? Library instruction for your course can help your students become better researchers and improve their information literacy skills. Instruction sessions are directly tied to your course research assignment and should be scheduled at the point of need, once students have some topic in mind and are beginning their research. We can offer advice on the best time to schedule your instruction session.
We ask that faculty and instructors play an active role in the learning process by participating in class and encouraging students to complete any pre or post assessments.
** Please submit requests at least 2 weeks in advance to give us adequate time to schedule and prepare a successful session for you and your students.**
For class visits or assignments that include a research component, we require at least two weeks advance notice before class visits, and may require a planning meeting with the instructor based on the submitted request. If you hope to structure a major course research assignment around our collections, or to develop a new course assignment or activity, please allow one month's advance notice.
