Adjunct Teacher Reporting
The 2022 Indiana General Assembly authorized local governing bodies to hire adjunct teachers and issue adjunct teacher permits at IC 20-28-5-27. In 2023, the General Assembly added authority for hiring adjunct teachers and issuing local adjunct permits to charter schools and nonpublic schools. Schools hiring adjunct teachers on locally-issued adjunct teacher permits are required to report certain information to the DOE at the time of employment. The DOE has created this jotform to make that reporting as simple as possible. Please note that to be included in statewide educator workforce data, each adjunct permit holder must create an account in the LVIS online system if they do not already have one, and each permit holder needs a School Personnel Number (SPN). If the permit holder does not already have an SPN, the school employer must request an SPN via the LINK Portal’s Ed-ID system: Information is online here:
