    What to do: Take your ID, Passport, or Driver’s License to the center. Have your fingerprints taken, order the certificate, and pay the center directly. What happens next: Upload your certificate using our Secure Upload Link or email it to us. 

    Timeline: Our fingerprint capture partners provide initial feedback within 24-48 hours. If there is a "Hit," you will receive your full SAPS history report within 2–5 days.

     
    Option 2: The Digital Assist (We Order for You)

    Visit a capture partner just for fingerprints, then let us handle the paperwork.

    What to do: Have your fingerprints captured at a partner center (this part is free). Notify us once completed.

    What happens next: We will send you an invoice for R500. Once paid, we will order your report through our electronic portal. 

    Timeline: Our fingerprint capture partners provide initial feedback within 24-48 hours. If there is a "Hit," we will receive your full SAPS history report within 2–5 days.

    Option 3: The SAPS / Manual Route

    Best if you are not near a private capture partner.

    What to do: Attend your local SAPS station to have your fingerprints taken on a manual form.

    What happens next: Courier or PostNet the original form to us. We will personally lodge it at the Criminal Record Centre in Pretoria for a fee of R500.

    Are you currently outside South Africa?
    We can still assist you. We will draft a Power of Attorney upon request to handle the process on your behalf while you are abroad.

    Unfortunately, you do not qualify for criminal record expungement. According to Section 217B (1) of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1377 (Act Number 51 of 1977), a criminal record can only be expunged if 10 years have passed since the date of conviction.

    Unfortunately, you do not qualify for criminal record expungement. According to Section 217B (1) of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1377 (Act Number 51 of 1977), if a person was sentenced to prison without the option of a fine a person may not apply for expungement of a criminal record.

    Unfortunately, you do not qualify for criminal record expungement. Under current legislation, if a sentence involved prison time without the option of a fine , or if the fine exceeded R20,000, the record generally cannot be expunged through this specific administrative process.

    Unfortunately, you do not qualify for criminal record expungement. According to Section 217B(1) of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1377(Act 51 of 1977) a person will not qualify for record expungement if:

    • He or she was convicted of a sexual offence against a child or a person who is mentally disabled or of an offense, where he or she was found to be unsuitable to work with children.
    • His or her name is included in the National Register for Sex Offenders, or the National Child Protection register but may qualify if his or her name has been removed from the National Register for Sex Offenders or the National Child Protection Register.
