Musicians have been shut out of millions of dollars of profit-sharing instreaming for more than a decade. The AMPTP has undervalued musicians and exploited our work for far too long. Streaming has come to dominate the entertainment industry and new media is no longer a new business. Actors, writers and others are paid residuals for streaming media.
It’s past time for a fair contract for streaming for current and future generations of musicians.
I stand with recording musicians and the AFM in demanding a fair contract that includes streaming residuals for musicians.
