• Civility in Family Law:
From the Bench and the Bar's Perspectives
    Thursday, September 8, 2022 | Noon
    1.00 hour ethics CLE credit

  • Join DAYL as we present a CLE on Civility in Family Law on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at noon, in person, at the Arts District Mansion. Our speakers will be Judge Regina Moore (256th District Court), Judge Tamika Abendroth (302nd District Court), and Sally Pretorius (KoonsFuller P.C.) and the panel will be moderated by Ryan Bauerle (Goranson Bain Ausley).

The panelists will share their best war stories, along with do’s and don’ts, and will provide advice on how to increase civility in family law, where tempers and emotions of the litigants (and their attorneys) can often run hot. We will also discuss how and why civility has changed from the days where people left everything out on the field and would even go to lunch after a contested hearing and how to get back to those days so we can promote and encourage a more civil practice.
