This programming is designated for youth ages 9-17. Students will explore nature in a 100% outdoors program. Lessons will focus on plant & wildlife identification, experiences in fishing & archery, analyzing our impacts on the planet, and having hands-on experiences to a variety of other topics presented by Nature Ninos staff and a community of knowledgable partners. Our programming also focuses on the benefits nature can have emotionally and mentally by nature journaling.
All students are asked to create a Surthrive project to present to their classmates during the last week of the semester. This project can be on any nature topic chosen by the student.
Once registered you'll receive a confirmation email that your registration was processed. As the class start date gets closer you'll receive details, via email, about drop off/pick up times and confirmed locations.
Investigating the Outdoors classes are on Tuesdays.
There are two sessions offered this semester. Students are eligible for placement in only one session.
Classes need a minimum of 10 students for the class to occur.
