  • Please Note:  CSAR will complete a local background check, however, you will be responsibile for a FBI fingerprint background check.  This will cost you $14, CSAR has members in law enforcement that can and will take the fingerprints for you and mail them.  We will send you the link and directions in you welcome email after your application is completed.  

    Membership dues are $50.00 annually due in the month of January of each year.  We do have a waiver request if it will be a financial hardship.  

    Applicants should understand that CSAR personnel may be deployed in a variety of weather conditions and terrain, including adverse environments. Volunteers may be exposed to physically demanding situations and may encounter injured, deceased, or otherwise traumatic scenes during search and recovery operations.

    CINCINNATI SEARCH & RECOVERY
    Release and Waiver of Liability

    This Release and Waiver of Liability applies to all training exercises, search operations, recovery operations, and any other activities conducted by Cincinnati Search & Recovery. This waiver shall remain in effect from August 1, 2022, and shall continue until revoked or superseded in writing by Cincinnati Search & Recovery.

    I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Cincinnati Search & Recovery, the owners of any property upon which training, search, or recovery activities are conducted, and any officers, directors, members, employees, volunteers, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns of the foregoing entities (collectively referred to as the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to any injury, illness, property damage, disability, death, or other loss that may occur as a result of my participation in any Cincinnati Search & Recovery activity.

    I acknowledge that participation in search, recovery, training, and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, exposure to hazardous conditions, property damage, and death. I voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown.

    I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from or related to my participation in Cincinnati Search & Recovery activities, whether caused by my own negligence, the negligence of the Releasees, or the negligence of any third party, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

    I further agree that this Release and Waiver of Liability shall be binding upon me, my spouse, family members, heirs, personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns. In the event of my death, this Release and Waiver of Liability shall remain effective as a complete release, waiver, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Releasees.

    I agree that this Release and Waiver of Liability shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the applicable training, search, recovery, or related activity takes place.

    I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Release and Waiver of Liability, along with membership dues, and I fully understand its terms, understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement or assurance of any nature.
