Information:
APSA provides coach accreditation and insurance coverage to accredited coaches. APSA does not offer coaching positions or assist coaches in finding a coaching job. To work in Australia you will require a valid working visa. The list of Australian visas that allow you to work can be found at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia. Rinks may charge a weekly coaching fee, charge per session or take a percentage of earnings to enable you to coach private lessons.
Payment
The application fee for temporary accreditation is $150. If the applicant is unsuccessful refund may be approved dependant on the reason for non-approval. A refund WILL NOT be approved in any case whereby the applicant has provided false and/or misleading information. You will be sent an invoice for payment after lodgement of this form.
Working with Children Check
Each State/Territory has it's own laws regarding Working With Children Checks depending on how long you are visiting the State/Territory for. If the State/Territory requires the check for the period of time you are there you must upload the documentation verifying your application has been submitted and the approved WWC check number once received. If it is not required you must complete the APSA Member Protection Declaration and upload it with this application.

Member Protection Declaration
APSA Inc. has a duty of care to all those associated with the sport at the national and international level and to the individuals and organisations to whom our National Member Protection Policy applies, As a requirement of our National Member Protection Policy, APSA Inc. must enquire into the background of any: - people who are undertaking any work (paid or voluntary), coaching or regular supervised contact with people under the age of 18 years for APSA Inc or an APSA affiliated Member. - People who volunteer to assist APSA Inc affiliated member coaches with unsupervised contact of people under the age of 18 years during coaching, competitions, events, camps or travelling, - Coaches, choreographers or other professionals who are invited by APSA Inc to visit Australia for the purpose of seminars, conferences, competitions etc, - Coaches, choreographers or other professionals visiting Australia who apple for Event Accreditation or temporary accreditation.
