• Information:

    APSA provides coach accreditation and insurance coverage to accredited coaches. APSA does not offer coaching positions or assist coaches in finding a coaching job. To work in Australia you will require a valid working visa. The list of Australian visas that allow you to work can be found at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia. Rinks may charge a weekly coaching fee, charge per session or take a percentage of earnings to enable you to coach private lessons.
  • Payment

    The application fee for temporary accreditation is $150. If the applicant is unsuccessful refund may be approved dependant on the reason for non-approval. A refund WILL NOT be approved in any case whereby the applicant has provided false and/or misleading information. You will be sent an invoice for payment after lodgement of this form.
  • Working with Children Check

    Each State/Territory has it's own laws regarding Working With Children Checks depending on how long you are visiting the State/Territory for. If the State/Territory requires the check for the period of time you are there you must upload the documentation verifying your application has been submitted and the approved WWC check number once received. If it is not required you must complete the APSA Member Protection Declaration and upload it with this application.

    You must list 2 referees Referee 1: current or former Ice Rink Manager, Skating Director or Association to verify: Referee 2: a Senior level coach OR Proof of coaching at an ISU Championship event (this may be via copy of event accreditation kiss and cry photo, letter from Federation etc.

    APSA Inc. has a duty of care to all those associated with the sport at the national and international level and to the individuals and organisations to whom our National Member Protection Policy applies, As a requirement of our National Member Protection Policy, APSA Inc. must enquire into the background of any: - people who are undertaking any work (paid or voluntary), coaching or regular supervised contact with people under the age of 18 years for APSA Inc or an APSA affiliated Member. - People who volunteer to assist APSA Inc affiliated member coaches with unsupervised contact of people under the age of 18 years during coaching, competitions, events, camps or travelling, - Coaches, choreographers or other professionals who are invited by APSA Inc to visit Australia for the purpose of seminars, conferences, competitions etc, - Coaches, choreographers or other professionals visiting Australia who apple for Event Accreditation or temporary accreditation.

    1. I do not have any criminal charges pending before the courts. 2. I do not have any criminal convictions or findings of guilt for sexual offences, offences relating to children or acts of violence. 3. I have not had any disciplinary proceedings brought against me by an employer, sporting organisation or similar body involving child abuse, sexual misconduct or harassment, other forms of harassment or acts of violence. 4. I am not currently serving a sanction for an anti-doping rule violation under an ASADA approved anti-doping policy applicable to me. 5. I will not participate in, facilitate or encourage any practice prohibited by the Word Anti-doping Agency Code or any other ASADA approved anti-doping policy applicable to me. 6. To my knowledge there is no matter that APSA Inc. may consider to constitute a risk to its members , volunteers, athletes or reputation by engaging me. 7. I will notify the President of APSA Inc and its member association engaging me immediately upon becoming aware that any of the matters set in clause 1 to 6 above has changed. This form will be held securely on file for a period of 2 years.
