The foster home serves as a safe and comfortable environment for rescued animals that need a little more time before being adopted into permanent homes. I acknowledge and agree that Poi Dogs & Popoki (PDP) cannot guarantee the temperament of rescued animals and that I accept responsibility for the animal(s) in my care. I understand that as a PDP Foster, I have an obligation to provide proper care for the animal including shelter, food, water, toys, and bedding. At all times, foster animals will remain inside the home with the exception of outside playtime, walks, and potty training. I understand that veterinary care costs will be subsidized by PDP through referral to Hi Pets Vet Clinic. If a pet is injured while in the care of the foster and due to the fosters' negligence, the foster may be responsible for the cost of vet care. I also agree to bring foster animals to spay/neuter or wellness appointments or adoption events as directed by PDP. I further understand that the foster animal is only in my care temporarily and that this is not an adoption agreement. Foster families may adopt animals in their care but the PDP adoption process must be completed. If the pet cannot be kept by the foster, it must be returned to PDP. At any point in time, PDP may remove animals from foster care. As a PDP foster, I am not an agent of PDP. All fostered animals are owned by PDP. If the Foster refuses to place animals up for adoption, the Foster will reimburse PDP for vet expenses incurred and finalize adoption through PDP.
