Redwood Christian Schools CROSSOVER Basketball Volunteer Code of Conduct

As a volunteer to Redwood Christian Schools CROSSOVER Basketball, I hereby agree to the following:

I agree that serving as a volunteer in Redwood Christian Schools CROSSOVER Basketball is a ministry for the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a privilege and a calling. It is not a right or a mere volunteer opportunity. I agree that the Redwood Christian Schools administration retains the right to approve all volunteers.

I agree that each head coach must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, as defined by Scripture (Romans 10:9-10) and be able to communicate his or her Christian conversion experience.

I agree that all volunteers must willingly agree to abide by the Redwood Christian Schools CROSSOVER Mission Statement: to create healthy competition while building biblical character in our players.

I agree that all volunteers working directly with children shall successfully complete: (a) the application; (b) Live-Scan background check; (c) TB screening.

I agree that coaches shall wear the Redwood Christian Schools CROSSOVER Basketball lanyard at all practices and games.

I agree that volunteers shall regularly attend worship services and be growing as active participants in their local church family.

I agree that volunteers shall commit to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of their calling as believers in Jesus Christ, and as influencers of children and youth. This includes an earnest effort to live above reproach and apply biblical guidelines in such areas as, but not limited to, internet use, sexual purity, drugs and alcohol, abusive language, or other personal conduct which would reflect poorly on or distract from their personal commitment to Christ, a godly lifestyle, and positive volunteer influence with children and youth.

I agree that by serving in the Redwood Christian Schools CROSSOVER Basketball ministry, I agree to submit to the teaching of scripture and a grace-filled accountability with the leadership team. Any concerns regarding lifestyle issues will be addressed personally and on a case-by-case basis with intent toward growth and restoration and the ultimate glory of God.
