    This course is designed for all workers working in the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry

    ASSUMED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ENTRY REQIUREMENT :

    The learner must have completed and passed the Shipyard Safety Instruction Course for Workers (General Trade) to be eligible to attend this course.

    COURSE OVERVIEW :

    Introduction to Shipyard Safety Instruction Course for Workers (Hot-Work Trade)
    Know the different types of Hot-work
    Know the characteristics of flammable substances
    Understand how vapours/ gases can accumulate in confined spaces
    Understand how fires/ explosions are caused
    Understand case studies on two shipyard fire and explosion accidents
    Know and take safety measures for preventing fire/ explosions

    COURSE CONTENT : 

    Introduction to Shipyard Safety Instruction Course
    Types of Hot-work
    Characteristics of flammable substances
    How vapours/gases can accumulate in confined spaces
    How fires/explosions are caused
    Case studies on two shipyard fire and explosion accidents
    Safety measures for preventing fires/explosions

    COURSE DURATION : 2.5 Hours including 10 min of Assessment.

    MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : English.

    CLASS SIZE : Maximum 40

    FACILITATOR / LEARNER RATIO : 1:40 for Theory Lesson & Assessment

    COURSE ATTENDENCE  : 100% Attendance

    ASSESSMENT ADVICE :

    10 MCQ Assessment in 10 minutes and it is a closed book assessment. The passing mark for the written assessment is 60%. Failure to pass the assessment shall render a “Fail” outcome for the learner and he must then re-attempt the course and assessment.

    CERTIFICATION :

    Based on the successful completion of the course and assessment, a certificate of achievement endorsed by Ensuresafe consultancy Pte. Ltd. will be issued to all trainee.

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS
    1.       REGISTRATION: Application submission can be done at our office, via whatsapp (69777350), email (training@ensuresafe.sg), or online at www.ensuresafe.sg. All information provided must be true and accurate.

    2.       PAYMENT: Payment can be made by cash or Bank Transfer or Paynow or cheque only.

    3.       CANCELLATION: Notice of cancellation must be submitted at least 3 working days before the course commences. 75% of the course fee will be refunded. No refunds will be given if cancellation is made less than 3 working days before course commencement.

    4.       REPLACEMENT / POSTPONEMENT: Replacement or postponement requests must be made at least 3 working days in advance. Replacement incurs a $10 charge; postponement incurs a $30 charge. Full details of the new participant must be provided for replacements.

    5.       COURSE CHANGES: Ensure Safe Consultancy Pte Ltd reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances.

    6.       CERTIFICATION: A certificate will be issued upon successful course completion (for worker courses, a pass will be issued). Certificates must be collected within 1 month of the exam date.

    7.       LANGUAGE: Ensure Safe Consultancy Pte Ltd is not liable for issues arising from incorrect language selection. Trainees must ensure they are proficient in the language selected during registration.

    8.       CONSENT TO DISCLOSE TRAINING RECORDS: In compliance with WSH Council’s directive and PDPA regulations, trainees must provide consent for their personal data and training records to be uploaded to the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) Training Record System (TRS).
