    The AWSHS is a mandatory WSH training course for all workers working in the shipbuilding and ship repairing industry.

    ASSUMED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ENTRY REQIUREMENT :

    Participant must be able to read, write and speak in the language in which the course is conducted.

    COURSE OVERVIEW :

    Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health.
    Identify hazards in a shipyard.
    Recognize all types of industrial safety signs.
    Understand application process for safety permit prior to hot work.
    Competent in wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    Know and take safety precautions when working with different hazards.
    Able to respond in case of fire or emergency.

    COURSE CONTENT : 

    Legal Obligations.
    Fire and Explosion Hazards.
    Prevention of Fires & Explosions.
    Preventive Measures for Specialized Operations.
    Preventive Measures for Material Handling.
    Preventive Measures for Mechanical and Electrical Works.
    Preventive Measures for Working in at Height.
    Preventive Measures for Working in Confined Space.
    Personal Protective Equipment.

    COURSE DURATION : 8 hours including 1 hours of assessment

    MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION : English.

    CLASS SIZE : Maximum 40

    FACILITATOR / LEARNER RATIO : 1:40 for Theory Lesson & Assessment

    COURSE ATTENDENCE  : 100% Attendance

    ASSESSMENT ADVICE :

    1-hour of written assessment with 40 multiple choice questions (MCQ) test. The passing mark for the written assessment is 60%. Failure to pass the assessments shall render a “Fail” outcome for the learner and he must then re-attempt the course and assessments.

    CERTIFICATION :

    Based on the successful completion of the course and assessment, a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from the Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) and a Safety Pass from Eversafe Academy Pte. Ltd. will be awarded to the trainee.

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS
    1.       REGISTRATION: Application submission can be done at our office, via fax (69777350), email (training@ensuresafe.sg), or online at www.ensuresafe.sg. All information provided must be true and accurate.

    2.       PAYMENT: Payment can be made by cash or cheque only.

    3.       CANCELLATION: Notice of cancellation must be submitted at least 3 working days before the course commences. 75% of the course fee will be refunded. No refunds will be given if cancellation is made less than 3 working days before course commencement.

    4.       REPLACEMENT / POSTPONEMENT: Replacement or postponement requests must be made at least 3 working days in advance. Replacement incurs a $10 charge; postponement incurs a $30 charge. Full details of the new participant must be provided for replacements.

    5.       COURSE CHANGES: Ensure Safe Consultancy Pte Ltd reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances.

    6.       CERTIFICATION: A certificate will be issued upon successful course completion (for worker courses, a pass will be issued). Certificates must be collected within 1 month of the exam date.

    7.       LANGUAGE: Ensure Safe Consultancy Pte Ltd is not liable for issues arising from incorrect language selection. Trainees must ensure they are proficient in the language selected during registration.

    8.       CONSENT TO DISCLOSE TRAINING RECORDS: In compliance with WSH Council’s directive and PDPA regulations, trainees must provide consent for their personal data and training records to be uploaded to the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) Training Record System (TRS).
