  • Spring 2023 SAT School Day
Cohort 2022 or Earlier GQE Request

Students in cohort 2022 or earlier who are scheduled to graduate in the 2022-2023 school year have four graduation options available to them:

    1. Complete a Graduation Pathway.
    2. Qualify for a Graduation Pathway waiver.
    3. Meet the Graduation Qualifying Exam (GQE) requirement.
    4. Qualify for the GQE waiver.

The GQE waiver (4) requires an attempt at the state’s GQE every school year. Since ISTEP+ is no longer offered, students who require a GQE attempt in 2022-2023 for the GQE waiver will be able to participate in the SAT School Day in the spring semester to fulfill this requirement. Cohort 2022 students who did not attempt the ISTEP+ in the 2021-2022 school year are not eligible for the GQE waiver, and should graduate via a Graduation Pathway instead.

Note that cohort 2022 students who are completing their courses in the fall semester of 2022 and need to qualify for the GQE waiver will not officially graduate until their SAT results are received in spring 2023.

Process: In order for these students to be able to participate in the SAT School Day administration in spring 2023, these students must be added to the registration file that the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) provides to College Board. Please provide the following student information only for students in cohorts 2022 or earlier who will need to be added to the file. All cohort 2024 students (current juniors) will be automatically added to the file by IDOE and should not be entered via this form.

  • Directions: Complete the three fields for each student who needs to take the SAT to complete the GQE requirement or qualify for a GQE waiver to graduate. These submissions will be reviewed by IDOE for status in graduation cohort 2022 or earlier prior to being added into the registration file. Please allow at least two weeks for this review to be completed before the student is expected to show up in College Board’s TIDE system for the SAT.

  • Please contact IDOE’s Office of Student Assessment via email or phone at 317-232-9050 with any questions
