wmnsWORK Tourism Accelerator September Cohort 2023 Application Form
Thank you for your interest in the wmnsWORK September 2023 Cohort! The goal of wmnsWORK's 12-week program is to support women and non-binary folks in early-stage tourism entrepreneurship, giving them the tools and support they need to get a faster start using 3 pillars - Education, Mentorship, and Community. This application will help us assess your fit with the wmnsWORK program. Please check out our website, www.wmnswork.com, or contact Iris Serbanescu at iris@byirisco.com if you would like more information.
What kind of businesses do we look for?
The program's curriculum is designed for tour operators (inbound/outbound and single/multi-day) and hotels and accommodations providers, but any tourism business who finds value in mentorship, community, and content around early-stage entrepreneurship in travel may benefit from this program. Businesses that are already in operation but early-stage (within the first 3 years) are typically who are able to get the most out of our program.
What's the investment?
The investment for this 12-week virtual program is $3,500 USD. Thanks to our sponsors WeTravel, TourRadar, Exodus, and Sherpa, scholarships are available for folks who identify as racialized, disabled, and/or LGBTQ2IAS+, allowing you to attend for $500 USD.

wmnsWORK and its sponsor partners WeTravel, Exodus, Sherpa, and TourRadar, recognize that systemic racism and oppressive practices in the tourism industry - not to mention the devastating impacts of COVID-19 -- have created barriers that disproportionately affect racialized, disabled and LGBTQIA2S+ travel professionals. We also recognize that diverse leadership in tourism, informed by all manner of perspectives and lived experiences, is crucial to the future success of the industry. If you identify as part of any of the historically overlooked groups above and would like to be considered for a scholarship, please let us know below.
