Please note: given the significant level of interest we have received for this programme it will not be possible to cater for every area/every group/every individual at the start but we will endeavour to meet the demand as quickly and as comprehensively as possible.   • I agree to my/my child’s image (still and moving footage) being taken to document the programme. These still and moving images may be taken during rehearsal/ performances and/or audio recording/filming. These images/recordings may be used by Music Generation (Galway City, Galway County, Roscommon and National Development Office) and trusted partner organisations (including Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board, Galway Culture Company, Galway County Council, Galway City Council and Roscommon County Council) who are all funders of the Music Generation programme. This imagery may be used for press and promotional purposes, including production of a short documentary film (should this arise), digital and social media marketing. Images/videos taken locally may be used for Music Generation national publicity and promotional activities for a period of up to 5 years. After 5years images/video will be retained for archival/research purposes only.*

    Music Generation focuses on the provision of performance music education – that is, the breadth of vocal and instrumental learning in all genres and styles of music. This includes all pedagogical approaches and practices appropriate to particular musical cultures and traditions, and is delivered by professional musician educators. Recognised by the Department of Education and Skills as non-mainstream music education, performance music education complements and enriches – but does not replace – the mainstream music curriculum provision of the formal education system.
