I am super excited to announce my second in-person Soma breath evening session at the Connacht Hotel, Galway on Friday 9th December 2022, 7-9pm.
The weekly online sessions have been a huge resource for me and my regulars over the last 2 years.
But, there is nothing like breathing in a room together as a group.
I will be starting with a short introduction talk into breath followed by a 75-minute deep breath journey aimed to connect you with your transformational potential.
A powerful reset for your Mind and body.
Soma breath is a powerful meditation technique that uses guided breath sequences to reach deep meditative states. It has been designed by Niraj Naik, a trained pharmacist, using ancient yogic breathing methods which are adapted into a simple and effective program without the requirement for any prior training. All the exercises are based on sound scientific studies which validate the effectiveness of the program.
Our breath has powerful transformational potential when it is brought under our conscious control. Soma breath uses breathing to musical beats as a tool to entrain the entire body physiology into rhythmical coherence. It combines rhythmical sections with breath-holding phases which stimulate heightened states of consciousness opening the portal into depths of calmness and coherence which are often unavailable in our normal daily life routines.
The practice can be oriented to enhance physical abilities, improve health and immune function, improve cognitive ability and concentration, and improve psycho-emotionally states.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Intermittent Hypoxic Training, and therefore breath-holding to create brief intermittent hypoxia as guided in SOMA Breath, should NOT be practised in the case of any of the following:
Severe/critical diseases or infections
COPD-II and COPD-III
Organ failure or late-stage terminal illness
Pregnancy
Cancer (Exception: your doctor gives you specific permission)
If you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or irregular heartbeat (Exception: your doctor gives you specific permission).
What if I am a person with any of the contraindications?
You will still gain enormous benefits from this course. The rhythmic breathing and visualisation techniques will help you tremendously.
Simply stay away from the breath retentions unless you are supervised by your health professional.
***DO NOT practice this in water nor while driving or operating any kind of machinery.
Note: It may aggravate Tinnitus however if you breathe softly, this shouldn't be an issue.
WHO IS JOSEF STEINER?
Josef Steiner runs a busy Biodynamic Craniosacral practise in Naduir, Galway. He trained in BCST at Karuna with Franklyn Sills. He has been involved as a tutor for Body Intelligence Ireland with Steve Haines from the very beginning. He has studied Aikido for 30 years and has been an Aikido teacher for over 20 years. He plays the Violoncello and practices and teaches the Argentine tango. Since his childhood in the Austrian Alps, he has kept a deep connection to the natural world and maintains a self-sufficient lifestyle exploring organic gardening methods, nutrition, food preservation and beekeeping.
