    A VET Student Loan (VSL) helps students to cover tuition fees for Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses.
  • If you are intending to use VET Student Loans to cover all or some of your fees please ensure the following:

    • You have checked you current HELP balance and loan obligations by logging into myhelpbalance.
    • You will need your Unique Student Identifer (USI) to log in;
      You have checked that you have enough HELP balance to cover the cost of the course you are enroling into.

    SFC will use the information collected on this form to generate an Electronic Commonwealth Assistance form (eCAF) on your behalf. This triggers an application for a VET Student Loan (VSL). This form needs to be completed and submitted at least 16 working days prior to your first census dates. Your census dates can be found in the training calendar. You must have a valid email as the Department of Education will email you login details for the eCAF system.

  • Please note:

    You need to complete the VET Student Loans Parental Consent Form and submit it to enrol@sfcaero.com.au at least 5 business days before your census date.

  • Please review the VET Student Loans policies and procedures at here.

  • Please click here to check your balance. If you are unaware of your balance, please check with your enrolment officer.

  • From 1 January 2015, we Schofields Flying Club LTD can be prevented from issuing you with a nationally recognised VET qualification or statement of attainment when you complete your course if you do not have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). In addition, we are required to include your USI in the data we submit to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER). If you have not yet obtained a USI you can apply for it directly at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi/.

    You may already have a USI if you have done any nationally recognised training, which could include training at work, completing a first aid course or RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) course, getting a white card or studying at a TAFE or training organisation. It is important that you try to find out whether you already have a USI before attempting to create a new one. You should not have more than one USI. To check if you already have a USI, use the ‘Forgotten USI’ link on the USI website at https://www.usi.gov.au/faqs/i-have-forgotten-my-usi/.
