Bridge Point will be treating the NEW Community Shelter to a cookout lunch on Saturday, August 27th. In June we served 200 meals. For the cookout we were told to plan for 250.
We will be grilling burgers and hot dogs, along with pasta salads, fruit salads, baked beans and desserts. I’m told that they have not had much watermelon this summer, so feel free to cut up a watermelon into quarter circle slices and put into pan provided. Other fruit salads are also welcomed.
Food needs to be to church by 8:30 on Saturday the 27th. The shelter is providing the hamburger, but we need to make them into patties. Five of our volunteer servers will need to be at the shelter at 9:00 to start making patties.
Thank you in advance for your support and contributions in serving our neighbors in need and spreading God's love.
Please drop off food items at church by 8:30 AM on Saturday
Meet at NEW Community shelter at 10:15 for prayer. Five servers are needed at 9:00 AM to make the hamburger patties. Two additional servers will be needed to help serve the take out area.
Your choice of pasta salad that you would like to make. Fruit salad is your choice as well, as I mentioned above, melon has not been served much this summer at the shelter. Feel free to cut melon into quarter circles and put into provided pan.
*If for some reason you are unable to provide food items that you have signed up for or to serve, please contact Tom or Barb LeMense at 920-639-6463 (Tom) or 920-370-3847 (Barb) at least 24 hours prior.
THANK YOU for helping serve and feed New Community residents as well as other locals who are in need of a warm meal and a friendly smile!
