  • EXTENDED CARE PROGRAMS AT WESTLAWN

Children who routinely arrive earlier than 8:15 am or stay later than dismissal should be enrolled in the Early Morning or one of our Afterschool Programs (i.e., childcare or classes) that operate for a fee. Please see below for more information about our program and classes.

The Extended Care Program consists of (a) childcare and (b) age-appropriate planned classes that include a variety of enrichment opportunities in a warm, relaxing environment. This program is an opportunity for children to develop social skills, try out new ideas and friendships, and gain independence and self-confidence.

The Afterschool Program at Westlawn strives to engage the whole child with a carefully designed schedule that gives students plenty of time to create, play, move and learn. Experienced staff members diligently oversee the safety and well-being of each child. Students have the chance to experience school with a little less structure and enjoy extra time for hands-on indoor/outdoor activities. There is a built-in structure time and opportunities for each child to explore and develop his/her/their own interests. Parents and students can choose from a variety of program options to create the ideal schedule.

Classes are approved via Holden Learning as a ClassWallet vendor and is able to qualified to accept ESA+ funding.

Students with consistent before and after school needs should register for the appropriate Afterschool programs.  Students enrolled in the afterschool program can participate in the learning lab classes at a reduced rate (see table below). These students follow a fixed yearly schedule that is known to Westlawn staff and Holden Behavior & Learning billing.

  • For program options A-E, enrollment billing is based on program selection. There is a flat rate fee for each program. Billing is based on program selection, not actual attendance. Once enrollment is complete, Holden Behavior & Learning will bill quarterly through Square. Please be aware all enrollments requested in the first three weeks of school will be charged for the entire first quarter. Changes in enrollment that require billing adjustments can be made once a quarter.

    Examples:

    • A student staying from 7:30am-5:30pm every day on a regular basis would enroll in Before school (A) and Afternoon (full day) (B)+ Friday Express Half Day (E). In total, $3,000 + $7,200 + $1,800 = $12,000 for the year or $6,000 per semester.
    • A student being picked up at 3:30pm every day would enroll in the Three-Thirty Express (C) and Friday Express (half day) (E) until 3:30pm. In total, $3,000 + $1,800 = $4,800 for the year or $2,400 for the semester.
    • A student coming regularly from 2:45-3:30 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday would choose Three-thirty express, option C, for 3 days. ($600 x 3 = $1,800 for the year or $900 per semester).
