QAC - An evening discussion and dinner with Artist Peter Waples Crowe

MAY 13th, 2023 5pm @ The Lyre Room, Burrinja Cultural Centre
We look foward to welcoming you to Burrinja to this unique event with artist Peter Waples-Crowe. His intersecting experiences as a queer Aboriginal person and his work with community health and arts organisations give him a unique perspective as an artist and community cultural development worker.

Waples-Crowe creates bold colourful work that explores the representation of Aboriginal people in popular culture, often referencing the dingo as a totemic figure and an analogy for Indigenous peoples.

This event begins at 5 pm with a Q & A followed by the QAC communiyty dinner 6/6.30 pm - 8 pm

Assistance with transport can include reimbursements for uber / taxis, petrol costs or public transport ticket fares. The closest train station to Burrinja is Tecoma Railway station. It takes on average 20mins to walk to Burrinja from Tecoma Railway Station.
