As a private program, and mission of the First Presbyterian Church, The North East Preschool operational budget is based on tuition payments. To continue the quality program, it is imperative that all tuition payments are made in a timely manner. For this reason, The North East Preschool implements the following policies:
Registration Fee
A $50 non-refundable registration fee, which holds your child's positon in a class and pays for start up supplies, is due upon registration. If plans change, and your child will not be attending North East Preschool, please notify the Director at (814) 722-7539. Most often, there is a waiting list and the position may be offered to another child prior to classes beginning in the fall. The North East Preschool will retain the full amount of the registration fee.
If the registration fee is paid and the preschool cannot accommodate the child due to low enrollment, the registration fee may be returned to the family.
If the full yearly tuition is paid in full upon registering, the registration fee will be waived.
Tuition Payments
Tuition payments are due on the first of each month from July through March. If payment deadlines are not met and there has been no effort made to obtain different payment arrangements with the Director by the 15th of the month, you will be notified of payment due. If, at the end of the month, no payment has been received, The North East Preschool board will instate further action. This may result in a temporary dismissal of your child until payment is received. It may also result in a permanent dismissal of your child upon receiving no payment at all.
Tuition payments are broken down into monthly installments for your convenience. The first two payments are due July 1 and August 1. The first two payments must be made by August 15 (or other arrangements made) in order for your child to begin school. If payment is not made, or other arrangements have not been made with the Director, the child's position will not be guaranteed in the class. If your child is removed from the roster the position will be given to another child. The North East Preschool will retain the full registration fee.
If two consecutive payments are missed during the school year and no arrangements have been made with the Director, the North East Preschool board reserves the right to remove your child from school until payment is received. This may also result in a permanent dismissal of your child if multiple payments are missed throughout the school year.
If the payment schedule is too difficult for you to meet, you may contact the Director to arrange a payment plan that accomodates your needs. However, if terms of the new arrangement are not met, The North East Preschool board will instate further action. This could result in a temporary dismissal of your child until payment is received, or permanent dismissal of your child if no payments are received.
North East Preschool accepts checks, money orders, or Paypal payments made through this website.
Scholarships
Scholarships may be available for those in financial need. An application may be obtained from the Director. After review, the North East Preschool Board will determine if qualifications have been met, and the amount of the award. Families applying for scholarships are required to make the equivalent of four monthly payments before awards will be credited to their account.
Withdrawal
If you withdraw your child from North East Preschhol any time during the school year, payment will be prorated and approved by the Director and Preschool board. Refunds will be prorated based on the basis of the daily tuition rate, an appropriate reimbursement for school supplies, and the official date of withdrawal.
If the withdrawal is due to non-payment of tuition, no money will be refunded. All payment due the North East Preschool prior to the removal of the chld will then be due immediately.
