Upper School Pre-Arranged Absence

The purpose of this form is to notify TMA in advance of a planned absence for your child. If you need to notify the school of an unplanned absence due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please call the office at 407.971.2221 or email usoffice@mastersacademy.org.

Excerpt from the Upper School Student Handbook:

Grades 6-8 Students absent more than 20 days (excused or unexcused) in a school year place their promotion in Jeopardy.
Grades 9-12 Students absent from any class more than ten times (excused or unexcused) in a semester may not be eligible for exam exemptions in all classes and may lose credit in the course with excessive absences.

The following guidelines must be followed for each pre-arranged absence:

This form must be submitted by a parent/guardian at least 1-day before the day(s) to be missed.
The student is required to make arrangements with each teacher for how assignments are to be turned in.
Students receive a class period for each class period missed to make up work.

All absences (excused or unexcused) count toward the semester total.
