Chicago Yacht Club Foundation Sailing Education Scholarship Application

This application shall be used for need-based scholarships for sailing education. It should NOT be used for support for competitive sailing, such as a regatta. This form should be completed by the sailor with their parent or guardian. All information will be kept in confidence and used solely by the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation in evaluating the request for a need-based award. Scholarship recipients will be asked to write a short description of their experience and provide photos to assist our Communications team in our efforts to publicize the Foundation's support of youth sailing.
To complete this form, you will need the following information, all of which is available on the sailing school websites linked here:

1) The name / location of the sailing school or camp you want to attend:

Chicago Yacht Club at Belmont Harbor

Columbia Yacht Club at Monroe Harbor

Jackson Park Yacht Club

Sheridan Shore at Wilmette Harbor

Lake Forest Sailing

2) The name of the course or program you are interested in (usually determined by age - each school offers different programs).

3) The dates you are interested in attending.

4) Your annual household income.
Applications for Spring / Summer 2026 Sailing Education Scholarship:

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting February 1st, 2026
Award Decisions will be sent out within 30 days of application.
