Our Purpose
The Lehi Youth Council is dedicated to providing leadership training and service opportunities for interested Lehi youth in grades 9-12. The Youth Council helps elected officials understand the needs of children and youth in the community and works with various city groups to provide service and leadership opportunities. Youth Council meetings will typically be held twice a month, with the opprotunity to also serve on the Youth Council Executive Board.
Each January, Youth Council members participate in a legislative session at the Utah State Capitol, where they have the chance to meet legislators and listen to guest speakers. Throughout the year, the youth members will have a say in selecting activities and service opportunities. Joining the Youth Council is an excellent way to learn about local government, get involved in the community, make new friends, volunteer at Lehi City-sponsored events, and enhance your resume or college application.
