Extension Ministry/Appointment Beyond the UM Connection Application
This application is for ordained and provisional elders and deacons, associate members, and licensed local pastors who are looking to serve beyond the local church in places outside of the United Methodist Connection. Once your application is complete it will be sent to Clergy Excellence and the Extension Committee of the Board of Ordained Ministry. Rev. Jessie Colwell, the Director of Clergy Excellence will be in contact with you to give you more information and schedule an interview with the Extension Committee of the Board of Ordained Ministry.

I understand that after I submit this application with all the required materials the Center for Clergy Excellence will reach out to me to schedule an interview with the Extension Ministry Committee.
I understand that an appointment to this setting is to be confirmed by a recommendation of the cabinet and the Board of Ordained Ministry. Such positions are then to be confirmed by a two-thirds vote of the clergy members of the annual conference (2016 BOD paragraph 344.1).
I understand that if approved I will be required to submit an extension ministry report through EVC by January 15 each year and I commit to do this report annually.
