Arts Grooming, LLC (hereby referred to as “Our Grooming”) agrees to exercise due diligence and reasonable care in handling of all pets. If the pet owner chooses to medicate his/her pet prior to its arrival, Our Grooming cannot be held responsible for any ill effects this may cause.

All pets respond to grooming differently despite the efforts to make it a positive experience. Our Grooming cannot be held responsible for shampoo or skin allergies, clipper burns and or minor cuts resulting from hidden moles. Grooming of matted, neglected coats will require shaving. This will likely reveal raw & inflamed skin which may require veterinary attention to treat hot spot, bacterial, fungal or parasitic infections. Furthermore, by signing below, the pet owner signifies understanding that grooming can be a stressful process on all animals, and Our Grooming will not be responsible for the effects of grooming nervous or elderly pets, or those with undiagnosed heart conditions, seizures, bone or joint sensitivities, or behavioral issues. In addition to your pet being in good general health and current on all required vaccinations, all pets must also be on a scheduled flea & tick treatment program. Your pet is still susceptible to these and other illnesses due to age, stress, nutrition levels, immune system, and exposure to other dogs. Should any pet show signs of illness or seem to be in need of medical consideration, Our Grooming reserves the right to administer aid and/or transport to and be treated by our nearest veterinarian or 24 Hour Emergency Animal Clinic. Any expenses incurred shall be paid by the owner listed above in addition to all other fees incurred for services provided by Our Grooming and/or Vet and/or Animal Hospital. 

This agreement and its terms bonds a relationship between Our Grooming and the below undersigned pet owner. Each time you enter Our Grooming, you reaffirm the terms of this agreement and agree to indemnify and hold Our Grooming, its employees, and any associates, harmless from all liabilities and claims.

Proof of vaccination can be brought in person or sent through a text or email.

Grooming Policies

Matted Coats

Our groomers will do their best to indicate to the pet owner / guardian, at drop off or by telephone, whether shaving is necessary. We will not de-mat severely matted dogs / cats. Depending on the severity of the matting, dogs / cats can suffer nicks, cuts, skin irritation and clipper burn from the removal of mats. Oftentimes when mats are removed, additional skin conditions are revealed or shown post grooming, including but not limited to hot spots and infections. I understand that my dogs and or cats matting is a result of improper coat maintenance or infrequent grooming. I will not hold Arts Grooming responsible for any potential injuries inflicted or discovered during the grooming process nor hotspots or infection that develop after a grooming service.

Aggressive Behavior

Any aggressive behavior from a dog or cat are potential risks to themselves as well as other dogs or cats and our employees. I agree to notify any and all aggression issues or any past biting incidents involving my dog or cat. I understand that at any time the groomer feels that the dog or cat is a safety concern, Arts Grooming reserves the right to cease grooming, regardless of completion. I acknowledge that as owner / guardian of the dog / cat, I am responsible for the cost of the groom, regardless of the completion.

Dog with Fleas / Ticks

When a dog is known to have fleas or ticks, we take precautions to protect the other dogs / cats in the building. If fleas / ticks are found on your dog and we were not made aware of the condition in advance, the dog owner / guardian will be required to pay a treatment fee of $35 for your dog and a cleaning fee of $50. Payment is due at time of pickup.
