President's Student Ambassador Leadership Team Details

      This leadership opportunity is for students who are dedicated in spreading the power of technical education, sharing their story, and mentoring and recruiting fellow students. Student Ambassadors have a desire to develop leadership skills and enjoy working on a team. 

      Ten applicants will be selected to serve as an ambassador. An ambassador will serve from November 1, 2023 - May 31, 2024, attending REQUIRED trainings each month. If you miss more than two monthly trainings, you will be dismissed as an ambassador. Ambassadors will help promote UBTech on social media and participate in community events. Students will participate in presentations and speaking opportunities as well as guiding potential students and community members to where they can learn more about UBTech.

      

How to Apply for President's Student Ambassador Leadership Team:

• Fill out this online application and submit the below information by Ocotober 20, 2023.
  
  
• Upload a recommendation/endorsement letter from your instructor
  (or they can email mckenzie@ubtech.edu)
  
  
• Upload a one-page essay on "Why I Want to be a UBTech Ambassador."
  (or you can email it to mckenzie@ubtech.edu)

Qualifications:

• Must currently be enrolled in a UBTech program or course
• Be dependable, enthusiastic, and have self-discipline
• Express a positive attitude about life at UBTech
• Be in good standing with UBTech

Calendar Events & Duties:

• Attend required monthly trainings/meetings
• Provide social media content
• Assist/give tours
• Volunteer at events
• Participate in other UBTech activities
• Be highlighted in other advertising and marketing opportunities

While an Ambassador:

• Must maintain 67% progress and be in good standing with UBTech
• Always be ready to represent UBTech in a positive way
• Be sensitive and responsive to diverse audiences
• Abide by the rules and regulations outlined in the UBTech Student Handbook
• Follow the UBTech Way by being student-centered, community-connected and service-oriented

• March 12 & 19, 2023- Junior Senior Parent Night Vernal/ Roosevelt
• April 11, 2023- Dinner with President Weight
• May 4, 2023- Graduation
