  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    Please read the terms below and make sure to fill out the application completely. Incomplete applications may result in a delay in receiving your rebate. 

    • You must be a Logan City Light and Power customer with an account in good standing to receive a rebate.
    • All equipment must be new and installed on, or prior to, the date of the application and after August 1, 2022 in an existing home (new construction homes are not eligible for incentive). 
    • Applications must be filed no more than 6 months after purchase of item.
    • Rebates are processed within 8 weeks of application submission.
      • All rebates below $600 are issued as bill credit and will appear on the bill arriving the month after your rebate is processed.
      • Rebates that are more than $600 are processed as a check and you will need to submit a W-9 for tax purposes.
      • If you have applied for more than one rebate in a calendar year and they total more than $600, you willl need to submit a W-9.
      • You can find a blank W-9 using this link: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf.
    • Please make sure to upload a copy of the itemized receipt that indicates the manufacturer, model number, and purchase date on the receipt/invoice. It is very helpful if you can highlight or circle the eligible items on the receipt.
    • If you are a property owner and would like a check mailed to you, please call Emily Malik at 435-716-9792 or email emily.malik@loganutah.org to make arrangements.
    • Rebates cannot exceed 50% of the total project costs. 
    • Homes qualify for one unit and one thermostat per application. If you are submitting more than one application per dwelling, please notify Emily in advance.

    • DUCTLESS HEAT PUMPS 
    • Dutctless heat pumps, aka mini splits, must be a minimum of 9.5 HSPF and 15 SEER to qualify for an incentive.

      For single and multi head ductless heat pumps: 

      • Must be entirely replacing a permanently installed gas or electric heating system that served at least 80% of the home's conditioned living space.
      • Rebate not eligible for gas conversions or for replacing an existing ducted heat pump

      For supplemental ductless heat pumps: 

      • Rebate eligible for ductless heat pump systems that are used for air conditioning (alternative to central air), as a supplemental heat source for cold spots, or for an addition where a primary heat source is already in service.

    • HEAT PUMPS 
    • DUAL FUEL HEAT PUMP

      Dual fuel heat pump incentives apply to existing homes and replacing a ducted central air conditioning that is permanently installed. 

      • Dual fuel heat pump with 90 AFUE gas furnace must be a minimum 8.5 HSPF and 14 SEER.
      • Dual fuel heat pump with 80 AFUE gas furnace must be a minimum 10 HSPF and 16 SEER.

      HEAT PUMPS

      Heat pumps incentives apply to existing homes only (not new construction).

      Heat pump upgrades must be replacing a permanently installed ducted electric heat pump that served at least 80% of the homes conditioned living space.

      Heat pump conversions must be replacing a permanently installed electric resistance heating system that served at least 80% of the homes conditioned living space. 

      Heat pumps must be a minimum of 9.0 HSPF and 14 SEER.

I have read and agree to all above listed terms and conditions and acknowledge that Logan City may verify all information that I have provided. I understand that all rebates are subject to available funds and will be serviced on a first-come, first served basis.
