Please request your employer's Employer Statement of Support and contact your reference promptly to avoid a delay in submitting your application. Copy this link for the Employer Statement of Support. Copy this link for the Character Reference form. (If you are self-employed, you do not need an Employer Statement of Support.) You should email the appropriate link to your employer or character reference contact so they can fill out the forms immediately. Once they complete and submit the forms, PDF copies will be emailed to you. Please have your Employer Statement of Support and Character Reference forms ready to upload. You are required to attach the necessary forms to submit your Flagship application.

Required Supporting Documents

Please attach the supporting documents required to validate your application. Your application is considered incomplete and will not be accepted without the completion and upload of these forms. If you are self-employed, you are not required to provide the Employer Statement of Support; however, a Character Reference is still required.

Flagship Tuition Assistance

The 2023-2024 Leadership Winston-Salem Flagship program tuition is $3,000. The policy of Leadership Winston-Salem is to provide a limited amount of tuition assistance to accepted candidates who demonstrate a financial hardship that would prevent program participation. Award amounts are limited and are distributed on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Approved tuition assistance is granted for up to half of the program's cost (up to $1,500).
