  • Next Steps & Requirements for Service:

Please make sure to complete the following requirements BEFORE your outing.
Next Steps & Requirements for Service:
  • Payment:

Delta County and Olathe Schools will not be invoiced for our core programs including Skis for Kids (4th grade), Winter Ecology Day (6th grade), and Learn to Bike (K-3rd grade) during the 22/23 school year. We do encourage schools to charge a $5/student fee to all the families who participate in these programs. We have found that a nominal fee (especially for the off-site field trips) prevents last minute cancellations and creates a family buy-in and value to the programs. Some schools decide to have the PTO cover any student with financial hardship. Any fees collected can be passed along to the Nature Connection as a donation to offset gear maintenance and so our programs remain accessible for all students. All other groups are asked to have payment by the date of the outing. Checks can be made out to the Nature Connection and sent to 397 Miners Way, Hotchkiss, CO 81419.
  • Certificate of Liability:

A ‘Certificate of Liability Insurance’ from your school (ex: Montrose County School District) is required each year if you are outside of the Delta County School District. Please add in ‘The Nature Connection/Delta County School District’ as “Additionally Insured” and send to Tori at torreya.swift@deltaschools.com.
  • Sizing Forms (Ski Trips Only):

Sizing form completed & returned for all participants (student/adult) for gear organization purposes
  • Permission Slips:

Program waivers are required for all individuals (adult and child) participating in an offsite activity (Skis for Kids, Bike or SUP Day). We have digital waivers readily available on our website. Please inquire if you need paper copies. Waivers will be emailed to you before the outing or you can find and complete on our website (yellow link on home page) or contact torreya.swift@deltaschools.com.
