• Proof of U.S. citizenship • Financial Aid form verified by Financial Aid Office
Letters of nomination:
• Two letters of nomination (one from faculty member /PI who knows student well enough to identify a special drive or talent that foreshadows a creative career leading to the advancement of scientific knowledge and technology). PI's letter should state: "I am nominating XXX for the Astronaut Scholarship." • Letters from graduate students will not be accepted. • Letters should be on department letterhead, addressed to "Astronaut Scholars Nomination Committee," and emailed directly to ourschol-coordinator@berkeley.edu by 12:00 noon on March 2, 2026.
