Prep Scholars Academy (PSA) is a neighborhood-immersed, culturally relevant academic program designed to help scholars excel throughout middle school and prepare them for high school. Scholars can enroll in this free, five-week summer program during thier 5th grade academic year and will continue with their cohort each year until the summer after 8th grade. This exciting, engaging, and active learning program will help scholars transition into high school by providing academic preparation, as well as scholar and family support. Prep Scholars Academy takes place at D'Youville University; it gives preference to Hispanic/Latino/a/e scholars and offers bilingual instruction. The 2023 summer session will start July 3 and run Monday-Friday from 8:45am-4pm until August 4.
Middle School Prep supports post-5th and -6th grade motivated scholars across WNY with accelerated educational enrichment. MSP is an engaging, five-week summer program, during the crucial middle school years, that keeps scholars engaged through a culturally relevant, fun, and stimulating learning environment. This program nurtures a love of learning, cultivates peer-to-peer connection, and prepares scholars for success in their educational aspirations. The program takes place at Nichols Middle School and the 2023 summer session will start July 3 and runs Monday-Friday from 8:45am-4pm until August 4.
High School Prep is for scholars who are currently in 7th grade. It is an intensive, 14-month program that prepares students for acceptance to and success at top independent, Catholic, charter and criteria-based public schools and higher education. High School Prep takes place at the University at Buffalo South Campus the summers before and after 8th grade, as well as two nights per week and on Saturdays during the 8th grade academic year. The 2023 summer session will start July 3 and run Monday-Friday from 8:45am-4pm until August 4.
