  • 7) PURPOSE – We set clear quality targets, based on our values, in the project brief, and communicate what we see as the optimum balance between Functionality, Quality of Build and Impact.*
  • 8) PURPOSE – We encourage innovation, evaluation and acceptance of its risks by us or by those in the design and supply chain.*
  • 9) PRODUCT – We are aware of the relevant legislation and compliance standards including The Building Act, The Building Safety Act, The Building Regulations, fire safety legislation and CDM and Health & Safety requirements as well as the Nearer Zero goals and ensure that we have the expertise in our delivery teams to help us to meet our responsibilities.*
  • 10) PRODUCT – We explore the appropriate balance between offsite and onsite construction to achieve our desired project outcomes.*
  • 11) PROCUREMENT – We acknowledge and respect our own contractual obligations and the obligations and working cultures of our key project and supply chain partners.*
  • 12) PROCUREMENT – We are clear on what our project outcomes are and how these are to be communicated to all parts of the project team.*
  • 13) PROCUREMENT – We carefully consider the range of procurement options available to us and choose the most appropriate option (from traditional tendering to strategic partnerships) to achieve our desired project outcomes.*
  • 14) PROCESS – We work collaboratively to monitor quality and compliance for example using the RIBA / RICS / CIOB Quality Tracker or similar tool and encourage our partners to do the same.*
  • 15) PROCESS – We nominate a Quality Custodian or Quality Champion for each project and expect the same commitment from others in the project team and supply chain.*
  • 16) PROCESS – We work collaboratively with our project partners to prevent cost, materials substitution and programme considerations compromising our quality targets and compliance.*
  • 17) PROCESS – We collaborate with our project partners to actively manage risk at all times in order to protect our quality targets.*
  • 18) PROCESS – We continuously seek input from and listen to end-users, purchasers, tenants, asset managers and other key stakeholders in the conception, design and specification of the project and understand their diverse needs and goals.*
  • 19) PROCESS – We focus on the business benefits of getting it right first time including reducing defects, maximising compliance, and avoiding costly alterations.*
  • 20) PROCESS – To enhance quality and compliance we have a systematic approach to developing, implementing, monitoring and sustaining innovation within and between organisations in our project teams and supply chains, for example BIM and offsite manufacturing.*
  • 21) PROCESS – We ensure that quality is not compromised at the interfaces between contractors, specialists, subcontractors and the suppliers of materials and components throughout the project.*
  • 22) PROCESS – We use digital technology in our projects and supply chains to improve quality and compliance, add value and reduce defects on site.*
  • 23) PERFORMANCE – We capture, check and review essential product and installer certification and other documents during the construction process and supply these to any relevant parties after project completion.*
  • 24) PERFORMANCE – We are confident that as a client we are getting quality and value and that our finished built assets support our organisational objectives.*
  • 25) PERFORMANCE – As we have become more enlightened our project outcomes have improved.*

    – A score of 90-110 suggests that you are well on the way to enlightenment
    – A score of 63- 90 suggests you are half way there
