Established in January 2021 by a skilled team with expertise in design, fabrication, and prototype testing across naval architecture, mechanical engineering, embedded systems, and marine robotics, we operate with a dedicated and efficient team of eight professionals.     Acheivements:

    1. In its inaugural year, SEACONVOY was honored with the DISC-5 (Defence India Start-up Challenge) award for its pioneering work on an Anti-Roll tank-based active stabilization system for warships, marking a significant achievement.
    2. The company has been awarded the FORGE Innovation grant to advance the development of a waterjet propulsion system.

    • Conceptualization, evaluation, and validation of specialized systems for maritime applications including ships and underwater vehicles.

    • Utilization of advanced analysis methods such as CFD and FEA for design calculations, evaluations, and prototype testing.

    • Comprehensive design services including detailed design conforming to industry standards, prototyping, and performance predictions for maritime vessels.

  • Job Description

    Technical Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems utilizing principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and material science.
    • Engages in the development of mechanical and electromechanical products by analyzing design requirements, exploring and testing manufacturing and assembly methods, and selecting appropriate materials.
    • Designs and refines manufacturing processes by engineering and adapting equipment for the production, assembly, and installation of components.
    • Utilizes 3D modeling for the design and analysis of products and systems, aiding in manufacturing, marketing, and other applications.
    • Generates and evaluates technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications using CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, RHINOCEROS.
    • Produces technical animations and visual content of products and systems derived from CAD designs.
    • Ensures product and system quality by developing testing procedures, assessing the capabilities of finished products and systems, and verifying the efficacy of manufacturing, assembly, and installation practices.
    • Compiles product reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
    • Serves as a technical resource by responding to inquiries and requests for information.
    • Maintains operational functionality of equipment by managing maintenance and repair services, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and protocols, and arranging for special service needs.
    • Manages system and product databases through programming and data entry.
    • Continually enhances professional and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, building personal networks, and joining professional organizations.

    Official Duties:

    • Dedicates efforts to delivering thoroughly researched, fully functional, and comprehensively tested products.
    • Participates in the mechanical and electrical integration of new hardware components into the test fleet for R&D and testing purposes.
    • Operates in both workshop and field settings, conducting tests, simulations, and physical operations of vehicles.
    • Conducts trade studies and manages the selection and integration of various components, including motors, actuaries, sensors, and receivers.
    • Thrives in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment, where small teams are responsible for a wide range of tasks.
    • Prepares technical documentation and presentation materials.
    • Acts as a liaison between office staff, manufacturing sites, and subcontractors.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Strong mathematical proficiency, including expertise in geometry, calculus, and physics.
    • Proficiency in CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, and other mechanical design tools.
    • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems, including assembly, disassembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of unmanned platforms and controllers, such as AUVs, Robots, Pixhawk, DJI, Ardupilot, and PX4.
    • Demonstrated capability in integrating complex systems towards a unified goal, with a background in system design and testing.
    • Preferred experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
    • Understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and other core mechanical engineering principles.
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office and other computer productivity tools.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
    • A proactive approach to taking responsibility and ownership of tasks.
