The Foster-to-Adopt Program was created to place animals into approved forever homes in a foster situation prior to adoption. The Foster-to-Adopt Program allows approved applicants to take an animal into their home to monitor the dynamic with other pets and make sure the addition to the family is a positive experience for everybody involved as well as welcoming their new fur babies before all the vet work has been completed. In order to be accepted into this program, Foster-to-Adopt applicants must have an approved application and home visit with Luna’s Mission Animal Rescue. You must be over 18 years of age to foster to adopt or adopt from Luna's Mission Animal Rescue

PLEASE READ THE BELOW CAREFULLY: LUNA MISSION'S CONTRACT i. The animal is and shall remain the sole property of the Luna’s Mission for a period starting as indicated above and ending with the completion of vet work OR at the discretion of either party. ii. If for any reason the adoption is not finalized, I understand that the animal(s) shall be returned to Luna’s Mission and the adoption fee will be refunded. iii. I will provide the animal with good care, including but not limited to, proper food, fresh water,shelter, exercise, grooming, training and medication when required. iv. I will comply with all instructions received from Luna’s Mission and will not deviate from any instructions as to the care and maintenance of cat without consulting with a representative of Luna’s Mission. v. I agree to maintain the animal(s) as my own household pet(s) and companion(s). vi. I agree to comply with all Qld State laws and local ordinances applicable to the animal(s). vii. I agree to keep the animal(s) under my control and not let dogs roam freely outside of home or fenced yard. Keeping a dog on a chain, rope, dog-run or similar device is not permitted.Cats are to be confined to the premises. viii. I will provide a safe and loving home environment and will socialize the animal to humans and other animals. ix. I will provide basic training or reinforcement of proper house manners and obedience skills.This training will be done only by positive reinforcement. At no time will the foster to adopt home use punishment as a training tool. x. I agree to properly supervise said cat at all times. I will be physically present when a cat is as above allowed outside during which time the cat will either be in a fenced area and/or leashed. xi. I agree to the following in regard to veterinary care: a. I will be informed that the animal is in good health or if there are any exceptions that I should be made aware of. b. If the cat needs medical attention, a member of Luna’s Mission must be contacted immediately and must approve all vet visits. xii. This agreement is not transferable. If I am unable to care for the animal, I will return it to Luna’s Mission. xiii. I understand that other animals in my household could be exposed to medical or behavioural conditions that have not been recognized in the foster animal placed with me by Luna’s Mission, and Luna’s Mission is not liable for any disease or injury of my own companion animals or other exposed animal. xiv. I agree not to attempt to hold Luna’s Mission responsible for any damages which the animal may do to any person or property. I specifically release Luna’s Mission of any responsibility pertaining to any damage to property or personal injury or any occurrence relating to the dog/cat and shall hold Luna’s Mission harmless regarding any damage or injury(ies) of any nature whatsoever and agree to notify Luna’s Mission immediately of any damages and/or injury(ies). I recognize this is an Agreement and have signed this Agreement freely and voluntarily.

Luna’s Mission acknowledges that all vet work has been completed in compliance with the above. The foster-to- adopt contract is finalised, and the animal is no longer the property of Luna’s Mission and as such, Luna’s Mission no longer holds any financial liability for the care and wellbeing of the animal.You hereby accept responsibility and ownership of the cat at your own risk, and you release Luna’s Mission and its agents from any and all liability arising out of possession and ownership of your cat. You agree that you are assuming total financial responsibility for your pet as of the date of this contract. Luna’s Mission and its agents will not be held responsible for any damages or expenses (veterinary or other) incurred during my ownership of the cat.
