Most Improved Procurement Team
  • Most Improved Procurement Team 2023 Nomination Form

  • Thank you for your interest in The Nigels - The Annual PASA Procurement in Practice Award “Most Improved Procurement Team 2023”.

Closing date for entries: 8 September 2023.

    Entry criteria

Please note that these awards are only open to procurement teams in Australia/New Zealand.

Your entry should recognise a team which has delivered above and beyond ‘business as usual’.  This could include capability building, a critical project or team coherence and mutual support.

These factors were important to Nigel Wardropper whom the awards are named after. Nigel always tried to recognise them through the awards process.

    How finalists are judged

Finalists, as judged by our judging panel, will be invited to ‘present’ their submissions to the audience at the 11th Annual PASA Premier ConfeX.

The in-person audience votes on the award nominations to decide the winner.

Three Finalists for each award are invited to present their submission case study live in the plenary session at Premier ConfeX on 18 October 2023.

Winners are presented at the end of the annual conference on day two, 19 October 2023.

    Nomination tips

    1.      Read the evaluation criteria! Address the evaluation criteria explicitly as Judges award marks against this framework.

    2.      Signpost your submission with headings as this helps the judges navigate your document. Aim for brevity

    3.      Be honest about challenges and barriers

    4.      Do not include confidential commercially-sensitive information or data

    5.      If you engaged external support, such as a consultancy, state what was their role and what was your role. If you worked with a supplier, perhaps get them to contribute part of the content

    6.      The judges will score content not (just) presentation. Bullet points are fine

    7.      Not all initiatives succeed, but if you can provide evidence of results that would help; a testimonial, quantified results, percentage improvement etc

    8.      In assessing the award, quite generally, the judges will be considering elements such as:

    ·         The complexity of the organisation

    ·         The business context of the team

    ·         The stakeholder issues/challenges and their management by the team

    ·         The outcome and how this met the needs of key stakeholders

    ·         The ingenuity involved in designing the solution

    ·         The relative improvement of the team in the process, over simple                    achievement in itself.
