Registration for Virtual POWERFUL TOOLS FOR CAREGIVERS Workshop Series
Carroll County Bureau of Aging & Disabilities provides at NO COST the Evidence-Based Powerful Tools for Caregivers Program. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week series of 90-minute workshops that teach you how to take care of yourself while caring for someone else. By taking care of your own physical and emotional needs, you become a better caregiver. Each workshop is taught by two trained leaders. Topics include managing self-care, ways to locate community resources, stress reduction tools, changing negative self-talk to positive self-talk, how to communicate more effectively, how to express your feelings, needs, and concerns, just to name a few. Participants will make weekly action plans, share experiences and help each other solve problems.
